RDTA's that won't leak apart from the aromamizer?

Hi everyone, I hope you are OK.

I have been looking into a few RDTA's as I haven't bought anything in a while, and this is one area that I don't have many. I have plenty of tanks and RDA's, but only about 5 RDTA's.

I was looking at the Serpent RDTA, and notice due to the way it fills, if I was to keep it in my pocket it looks like it would leak.

So, apart from the aromamizers which I already have, are there any good RDTA's that are suitable for use out and about that won't leak everywhere on me, or am I really best sticking with RTA's for use out and about, or the aromamizers if I want to use a RDTA?

Thank you all, Conan.

Hi @conanthewarrior i just watched a few vids on the Gaia from Cthulhu's rdta @advancedvapesupply made a vid on YouTube & he flipped it upside down & doesn't leak. Watch his vid. I love the way it looks but was hesitant because of the 2ml capacity. Apparently you don't have to take the top off, he just filled through the driptip. And it comes with a Squonk pin.

Check out the RDTA 5. I keep it in my jacket pocket all the time with no leaks. I did a full review here. One of the best built RDTA’S I ever owned as well.

I dunno, I think anything 'upside down' could/would leak... but don't see it as a big leaker .. will find out after I order lol

btw just noticed we joined on the same day bro!

Ive not experience leaking with either the Pindad or the Gaia and used them both extensively

....Just got the Merlin RDTA to early to tell if it leaks or not

The Boreas leaks... not massively (unless you fill it wrong) but it's there eventually you will get some seepage not that I class this as a true RDTA anyway I always associate RDTA as Genesis style tanks I know I'm probably gonna get shot for saying it lol

Imo leak vs not leak has more to do with your build than the atomizer....

Once you get wicking and build dialed in most atties are mostly leak free.

I use most and mostly... because ALL atties can and will leak..... only atties that NEVER leak.. never have juice in them.

Thank you all for your help and suggestions.

I was under the impression the Engine was a RTA, but looking at its design it does appear to be a RDTA in the way it wicks. The Ijoy RDTA 5 looks great, also the Gaia from Cthulhu's, in fact all the tanks mentioned look great.

I never got myself a avocado, as I was under the impression due to the way it wicks it would leak easily. Similar to the Haze dripper tank, which I would never take out with me as if it goes on its side, it will leak everywhere.

EDIT: by this, I mean the genny style RDTA's with the juice well at the bottom.

It may be I have just been put off due to this one in the collection, and in reality most of the RDTA's are fine in regards to leaks. I will have a look for the best prices and go for something :)

All rebuildable atomizers with a tank are RTAs. In the old days there were two types..... the bottom coil tank like the Kayfun and the Genesis tank. Both are great at making flavor but performed best at 1ohm or higher.. TC wires not in use at time. Now the bottom coil tank were mostly cotton wicked but the Geni still using silica or SS mesh wick.... but the trends are for more power..... we wanted Dripper like power levels and draws and ease of build found in drippers..... so people started modding their tanks.... the Kayfun style got bigger decks and air.. the Geni replaced by a dripper with a tank stuck on the bottom. Hence the RTDA which includes both style of tank with a mid tank deck variant added. Most of the tank comming out right now are some kind of a hybrid of the three original atty styles. The confusing part has always been the abreviation RBA RTA RDA and now RTDA....... only the RDA refers to a specific style atty. RBA all rebuilables. RTA any rebuildable with a tank. RTDA any atomizer with a dripper type wicking or deck and a tank.

To quote myself earlier you do get a tiny bit of seepage when you chain vape between the top cap which is plastic and the metal housing it connects to ...only when it gets really hot though and it's not massive amounts just a tiny smear ...noticed that today although to be fair this could have been my fault when refilling it ...I overfilled it earlier so there's was to much liquid in the chamber ;) difficult the see the vent hole with the coil over the top I feel like there should be a gasket of some sort between the two pieces

I know, I should of been clearer I guess in my wording. Having a quick look I can see 26 RTA's on my mods, but out of these only 5 are RDTA's. It is why I was looking for more RDTA options as this is one area in my collection that is not as large as my mods, RDA's and other RTA's.
I understand they are all rebuildable tank atomisers, and remember the older tanks, I still have an old Orchid that I loved- now it seems so strange how fast things have advanced.

A little seepage is OK, just not full on pouring out in my pocket lol. I always have a few tissues to give a little wipe for spillage or any seepage, a small amount is fine though with me :)

Ahh in that case it only does it when I chain vape it seems not when it's in my pocket ... i today put up my review on the Merlin RDTA if you wanted a bit more info

http://vapingunderground.com/threads/augvape-merlin-rdta-review-by-kingpin.317955/
Thanks man, great review there! :)

I do like the look of that for sure. Also most of my tanks can't fit huge coils in, but that is fine for my usual vaping style. Something like this would be good for when I fancy a bit more cloud chucking.

I also like how it looks on the H-Priv, mine doesn't get that much use now. Saying that though a lot of things do't get much use so it is hard to justify new things, but you know what its like with shiny new things lol.

Shinyitys is a real thing for sure lol ... fits on the HPriv perfectly mate vaping on it now in the back garden with the sun shining it's great ...it really does need big coils in here to shine though it's not the smoothest vape as I've said but flavour when it warms up is great just changed from rockets RY4 to HICs white tic tac flavour ...transition over is quick and have not had a single dry hit even with those big ass coils I'm running on it

Im a big fan of RDTAs because of thier wicking style. Flavour wise the pindad for me has been the best for flavour and draw to be honest and the fact I can squonk it is a massive bonus.. I'm yet to find another atty of any class that's beats it on that front but this one is a great ADV for work and out and about as it has a larger juice capacity

Deuces did a great review on the pindad have a read of that one as well ...I bought it after that review and glad I did ;) ...using your own 510 drip on the adapter is better than the stock drip tip imo

I have been carrying the Serpent RDTA for several days now since I received it and it hasn't leaked a drop. It's an awesome tank, I have all the good single coil tanks and this is one of my favorites. Awesome flavor, no leaks, fun and easy deck to build on, could wick it blind, solid build quality and looks great.
