But it IS compatible if the companies here that fight for the right to vape also make money from selling clones- any money they make helps the cause. I was just pointing out I was in the UK as companies here sell clones as well as authentic mods, but still fight for all vapers. Unless there is something I am missing?

I do not see how shop A selling an authentic mod, that then helps support them is any different to shop B selling a clone that in turn supports them if they both are helping the cause?
IMO you are missing the bigger picture. If the market becomes flooded with dangerous counterfeit items imported from China because your money spent on clones is what's supporting these Chinese toxic manufacturers, and despite that there do exist Chinese manufacturers of legit quality items, eventually the government will act simply because a line has to be drawn somewhere so when this happens it usually means more bad news to those who vape because that's where Big Tobacco comes in, for reasons that are plain obvious.

Seeing as the majority of regulated mods are made in China, I see no issue at all. Nearly every mod I own is Chinese made, and I own 49 so far. I do have authentic mech mods made in China, as well as authentics made there too.

I really see no issue with purchasing things that are made in China. Resellers in the UK or USA could be blamed if they sell dangerous items, but I feel it is on them to check an item, after all if I can do it, surely a retailer can. A £20 clone is just as likely to go wrong in the wrong hands as a £300 authentic mech.

Big tobacco hates vaping full stop. Wether it is China, USA, or Mars made makes no difference.

UPDATE

So I just got my first mech tube..... and uts fabulous
That is beautiful! Is it an authentic or clone, and which mod is it? Either way, it looks lovely, and I am glad you are enjoying it.

Have you tried the 0.16 build yet? I find 0.2-0.3 to be where I like with SS 316L 26G. What wire are you using?

I built a 0.18 ohm coil and it is amazing. I am using alien Clapton which I am still figuring out if it is good for mech. I ran out of normal kanthal 26 G wire.

Glad to hear it is working well for you :).

I prefer standard coils in my mech mods, I find the more intricate coils to be a bit too beefy and don't like the ramp up time. Some people swear by them though for mechs, so it really depends if you like it or not.

Which mech is it? I really do like the finish of it.

Its coil art mech tricker kit. I will try the normal coil but I am loving the alien coils. My first mech mod so not sure how hard it hits compared to others but amazing

Try telling that to our public health minister here in Belgium. She banned ALL vape related internet sales to consumers so yeah, I guess it would be fair to conclude it makes no difference where it's made... at least to HER.

All depends on the wire using 28-30g core and 36-40g wrapping wire all SS works wonderful. Very responsive warm flavorful dense vape.

Better off with VTC5A's,
Yuppers. I use the VTC5A in my Purge Mods Maelstrom single battery tube mech on a .11 ohms build... the VTC5A really does hit harder than any other 18650 battery currently available to consumers because of the smaller voltage drop that it has, it's an amazing battery and I own 18 of them right now.

I cant get m,y hands on VTC5A but have the VTC5... you think i can go .15 - .2 ohm on that. at .15 i am looking at 28 Amps which i am not sure will be safe or m i missing something

At .15 ohms on a single battery mech mod you are only using the battery at about 24.5 amps or less. This is due to the voltage drop to about 3.7 volts assuming the battery is new and freshly charged. The VTC5 hits as hard as the Samsung 25R and runs a bit cooler, but there are a lot of fake VTC5 batteries out there so make perfectly sure yours are real ones. Then you will be safe, and, actually you will even have a little bit of time to put down your mod and run if something goes wrong with your mod. (That is, unless you short circuit the battery... possibly causing it to explode immediately like a hand grenade so always avoid short circuiting.)

My .11 ohms build are dual coils (aliens). They're 5 wraps and 2.5mm inner diameter, 28g cores and 38g outer wrap, all Nichrome80 so it hits pretty much instantaneously with excellent flavor and big enough clouds.
