Lol... Most people are to concerned with helping strangers than checking genders.
Myself included, the only time I check a profile for anything is if it's someone causing a problem.

I'll give you some advice my grandpappy gave me:
If you expect from other what you expect from yourself, than you'll always be disappointed.

If someone were concerned with having there gender recognized in a place where they want anonymity, they could be more proactive themselves. I'm sure if she would have said something the request would have been respected.

I did get a response from the vendor and they got back to me real fast and they said it is an authentic and that YIHI has always had problems with the older YIHI / authentication. They said to go ahead and wait for YIHI to get back to me. They were very courteous. So Im leaning towards a good outcome.

fwiw,, years ago i heard of this happening,, but it wasn't what you thought. the co' sends out product to vendor,, the vendor doesnt make good on payment so the 'lot' of product was 'denounced'.....kills the warranty so the company doesnt get stuck with lack of payment from the vendor and any problems from the final customers (you).

whats also possible is if say 100 or 1000 of those devices got lost in transit......for insurance purposes those s#'s would be killed..............meantime somebody can buy all of those devices at unclaimed cargo and do with them what they want........likely find a vape vendor/store and sell them cheap.

Got it for 99.00 , not exactly "give away" price for old tech, for me its perfect, I like simple, I have another oldie with the same board, so I know it.
I love how the menu automatically turns itself from right hand to left. I like the gyroscope feature for adjusting etc.

I know these come up in the classified once in a while, but usually not less than 50 and then they are really well used and you dont really know how much life they have left in them. This has a 1 year warranty and they still offer repairs so, at least I know it will last me a while.

From everything I read, these are still in use by many owners after what, 2 years or more? My other YIHI box with the same board is still going after 2 years.

Oh moderators , PLEASE dont put gender badges, really. I like things as they are, not being known as male or female is irrelevant to me. Unless someone is trolling for sex, it really doesnt matter , does it? :)

Im glad it all worked out, I hope. When I get a reply from YIHI and they confirm, I will really be at ease.
What kross8 did pass my mind. I know that it still might not be what it seems. Could be a clone with a correct number that has not been purchased yet or the owner never checked it in. I dont know if the interface lets you access the serial number to see if it matches the number on the cards.

The S class was supposed to be aluminum with SS battery cover, top cap and button. The finish was not as smooth as the M class which went to a stainless body. The authentic S class also did not have anything lasered on the bottom of it. It was rougher..... But did have the gold plated 510 connections like the M class.

I got this from the YIHI site.

I understand what you mean, but really, just because something is made in China does not mean its shitty or badly made. They made a great device which has proven itself.

I hate when people start to bash China as a whole. Right now China is manufacturing 3D printed bio material to replace human arterial systems, made of ones own DNA.

I'm not saying chinese stuff is bad. Hell, I own dozens of mods, they're all chinese brands and I love them! I'm just wondering how a clone can be cheaper than the original, and even worth releasing in the first place.

I mean, the whole atomizer clone business happens because atty makers charge insane amounts of money for originals, and the clones are an order of magnitude cheaper for no real difference in end product quality. But I doubt anyone could make a SX Mini clone any cheaper than the original retails for.

That's why I'm genuinely asking if working clones of chinese mods are even a thing: it makes no business sense.

Well, to the ones cloning it makes no difference where the item came from. They just see an opportunity to make money.

In this case , it just happens the item in real close and they probably have access to the parts, and the people within the factories.

IF it costs YIHI, lets say 20 to make one, thats not factoring all the test products and betas, and money they spent paying the designers, the electronics people etc and advertising. This is just what it costs to make one unit. They sell it for 200, because they can.

So other manufacturers in China, they get a hold of one, copy it, and it costs them 5 bucks to make , they crank out twice or maybe 10 times the units and they dont QC them as much. Lets say YIHI checks every 50 units to make sure they are on target , the clone company checks one a day?
I have no idea what the actual numbers, Im just pulling this out of my......

The clone companies dont have to spend on advertising, to get it out there, the genuine company has already done this..... And if you have a problem with it? You are out the 40 you spent on the copy and not that 200 will get you help, but YIHI obviously does stand behind their product.

So thats my thoughts , Im probably completely wrong. But its what I think.

And the money that is being charged on atomizers? Some are well made and well thought out, machined, blah blah. Some charge that because they know if they strategically put it out there, make it exclusive.... hard to find, claim what they claim , people will buy it.

There are quite a few high end real hard to find atties out there that are clones of others, but because they charge twice as much as the older tech and add a little change we line up and buy it. If the same item was put out there for less than what it is based on we would be screaming clone.....
