My package came thru lynx rda I inhaled for 1 sec I already taste the machine oil. The only method I did was disassemble the rda soak in warm/hot water and joy that kinda help, but I still can taste the MO. I don't have an ultra sonic nor I don't have alcohol drinks. What do u guys use to get rid of the machine oil taste?

Edit: only dish soap I have atm is Joy, but I'm goin to buy Dawn.

Try a White Vinegar Soak followed by a good rinse and then a good soak in hot water and then air dry.

I already had to boil and offensive RDA to get rid of the oil. It was the only thing that worked.

^^ That. Boiling is the only thing that's worked for me also, with really stubborn machine oil or any other offensive taste that ordinary cleaning can't get rid of it -- anytime my Achilles starts tasting funky, I give it a 10 minute boil, and then it's back to great.

Sounds good, ooh I forgot to mention, did u take off the o-rings before u put it in boiling water?

It can be a good idea, though sometimes the rubber or silicone o-rings can hold bad tastes or smells. If you have spares, I'd say leave it on (they might be fine after boiling, but sometimes it makes them stretch, if they';re old and weakened already)... if you don't have spares, then take them off and soak in hot soapy water while the boil is going on, then rinse WELL.

One of my Kayfun clones had an extraordinarily persistent oil stench. It survived:
  • A few cycles in an ultrasonic cleaner with Dawn soap
  • Simple Green at full strength
  • Boiling in a baking soda followed by vinegar
  • A few more cycles in ultrasonic in various detergents
Finally I've decided to go full retard on it. Stripped the atty from all plastic and rubber parts, put in a colander and blasted with a brake cleaner. Followed with an ultrasonic Dawn bath and voilà! – no foreign smells at all.

I do not recommend using a brake cleaner on atomizers, but sometimes it takes a nuke to get rid of that pesky oil.

So we have.... toothpaste, boiling Coke, white vinegar, Simple Green and brake cleaner. Leave it to us vapers for some wacky and imaginative de-greasing methods! Lol.
My self, I've never had an atomizer that required going to such lengths. But out of habit I soak new hardware in Dawn dish soap and rinse thoroughly. For stubborn residual flavors some rubbing alcohol also works.

I find that boiling in water and a little rubbing alcohol for 10 minutes is NOT good enough. Soaking in Vodka for even 2 days is not good enough either. I stopped buying Vodka altogether as it seems to not be of much help at all.

Soaking in dish soap and water seems like a good choice for me, however you have to watch how long you soak it because stainless steel does, in fact, develop rust if submerged in water too long. I had a kanger atty soaking in soapy water for 3 days once (for cleaning, not for machine oil removal) and some rust developed. Luckily it was only surface rust that came right off.

High quality dish soap seems best for me, but I have to use a good amount of it and if I do not rinse it well enough, I get a soap taste.
Soaps smells great but tastes horrible LOL.
