I have japanese cotton Koh Gen Do using Lynx25 with SS 28Gx2 / 40G, do you guys peel off the top layer off? or you just don't peel it off?

Edit: i have not use KDO yet, but I was reading u get more pulls using not to peel off the top layer.

Yes, you peel off the layer and I also use the Scottish Roll method, it makes a big difference.

You what the fluffy cotton between the pressed layers. Then once you peel off the layers stretch it out then roll it using the Scottish Roll method. Doing that you will get more pulls from an RDA and also faster wicking in an RTA without leaking.

I peeled both layers and noticed it burned faster and had to change wick almost daily.... The exterior layer protects the softer cotton in the center.....

I couldn't tell any difference in the absorption rate nor the flavor......

I just cut and stuff and change every week or two.....

Strange, complete opposite for me. Peeling and using the Scottish Roll method gives me at least double the capacity and much faster wicking in RTA's. Using this method at least keeps up with Rayon in wicking speed without the shitty taste and dry throat of Rayon.

Only time I have to rewick is when the coils gunk up and Koh gen Do is still in great shape. I rewick depending on the juice once maybe twice a week and the cotton is still in good shape.

Maybe Vaping at 150 watts makes a difference......

Same with my series Mod's when I'm feeling rowdy with a 0.4Ω build, that's over 160W ;)
I know that when my coil gets gunked up the cotton turns burnt black..... and I still hit it black.... When I go change it, I grab the cotton and it falls off out of the middle..... Like a thread holding it together...... By the end I can see barely any clouds and my juice starts tasting like cinnamon...... Or smoked ham..... Something smokey......
