I've been playing around with FW Hard Candy that I found in the back of the drawer (not too shabby). I'd try
Cherries(INW) 1-1.5%
Hard candy(FW) .5-.75%

Eliminating cough syrup in any Cherry flavor is a major challenge for me. Some ingredients I have yet to experiment with to that end:

• FA Labyrinth (inherent vagueness to 'drown out cough syrup')
  
• FA Forest Berries, CAP Harvest Berry (to 'drown out cough syrup' in medley)
  
• FA Bilberry, FW Blueberry, TPA Blueberry Wild, TPA Blueberry Extra (synergy to surface Cherry)
  
• TPA Peach, TPA Mango, CAP Sweet Mango (for fleshy backdrop)
  
• FA Fuji Apple (for tart sweetness)
• TPA Dragonfruit (tart sweetness + emulsifier)
• EM (vague sweetness + emulsifier)

I made squonks suggested starting point and it's not bad.

I think it needs more of a smoothness, mouthfeel and "gummy flavor".

Thinking about trying some strawberry, marshmallow and/or vanilla.

I think TFA has a taffy flavor? But I don't have it.

After reading HIC's review of the Lotus White Cherry flavor, I ordered some yesterday. Expensive? You bet. (Even with the holiday sale)

Might be worth it though...

I'm looking forward to not only trying it on a stand alone basis, but also mixing some along with HIC's suggested FA Brandy, Amber and Whiskey.

I'm also looking forward to mixing your Cherry Limeaide recipe. I am only missing the FE Lemon. Luckily I ordered it along with the White Cherry.

Found this last night. Next time I order, I'm gonna pick up the "real flavor" flavors. I'll make it as is, and then replace the strawberries with cherries. Looks really good.

Finally tried OOO Cherry Rancher. I tastes like Ludens cough drops. I didnt care for it too much. It would not leave the coil I used. That flavor clung to it and would not leave.
