Battery help.

I just got a Fuchai duo about a day ago and i have some questions on the battery's i have.

My coils read at .15 ohms and i'm just trying to figure out what wattage to run that with out exploding my batteries. I'm going to be a rookie about the batteries cause i know what could possibly happen

See picture for battries. I'm trying to figure out what is the max i can run with these batteries. and be safe.

Thanks guys

The image didn't post, fyi so giving some just basic guidelines for you.

1) Wattage per battery, general guide line
20amp CDR (this is generally most of the batteries out there used for vaping) are generally good for 60watts per battery, in your instance with 2 batteries that is a total of 120watts (60X2)
25amp CDR are generally good for 75watts per battery, in your instance that makes 150watts max (Sony VTC5A 2500mah, LG HD2, HD2C, and HD4 2000mah to 2200mah)
30amp CDR are generally good up to 90watts per battery, in your instance that would make 180watts max, the mod being 175watts max you are perfectly safe here (LG HB2, HB4, HB6 1500mah, if your battery states 35 or 40amps, that is a total lie, in 18650 format no batteries have a higher "Continuous" discharge rate than the LG HB series, there is just no way chemistry wise to pack in both energy density (mah) and energy throughput (amps) into the 18650 form factor, any battery that says higher is advertising the max "Pulse" discharge rate which can last max 1/2 to 2 seconds, then the battery needs to downshift to its rated CDR or risk venting, rupturing, or exploding due to heat and internal pressure)

Good link to add to your vaping links for calculating amps on a regulated mod like you have

steam-engine.org is also another excellent site to bookmark for other general "Ohm's Law" and vaping calculators to use.

im going to add that to my bookmarks thank you!

so my battery says 3000mAh 35a and 3.7 volts and your saying with that i should be safe with 60 watts per batter to be safe? someone said they are 20a but i dont see them any where on the batter. sorry for the questions. Im way new to vaping lol

3000mah, there are 3 legitimate 3000mah batteries, the Samsung 30Q (3000mah 20amp CDR, "30 to 35Amp Pulse"), Sony VTC6 (3000mah 19amp CDR, "30 to 35amp Pulse"), the LG HG2 (3000mah 18amp CDR, "30 to 35amp Pulse"), see a trend in the pulse amps listed on the Authentics here?

It's called re-wrap company false advertising, there are 4 main battery manufacturers out there, this in not including clone battery makers, the Big 4 are LG, Samsung, Sony, and Sanyo/Panasonic. Most re-wrap companies out there are Efest, IMRen, AWT, Eizfan, Baizen, Vappower, Brillipower, the list is long. Li-Ion 18650 batteries have a voltage range of 3.0v lowest, to 4.2v fresh charge, the 3.7v rating in the nominal voltage, the plateau batteries stay at charge the longest between 3.5v to 3.9 is the plateau. Regardless, treat those batteries as 20amp CDR, as CDR is the standard all manufacturers (Big 4) agree on as a standard, it is the discharge amp rating that a battery can sustain the entire discharge from fresh charge to weak battery signal without overheating and causing mischief. So max you can go on your mod is 120watts max with those batteries, link in my signature line has some good info to peruse over at your leisure.

Best batteries by category I suggest depending on where you feel you are going to be at

20amp CDR - Samsung 30Q Lavender Color
25amp CDR - Sony VTC5A (2500mah 25amp CDR) Pine Green Color
30amp CDR - LG HB6 1500mah 30amp CDR Cream Color (old version) or Lavender (new version)

Link to that battery calculator above post is one of the most trusted battery vendors out there to get authentic batteries, along with

RTDVapor.com
orbtronic.com

as far as questions about batteries and battery safety, the only stupid question in my book is the one never asked, so feel free to ask away, there are plenty of knowledgeable and safety minded members on these forums to help answer.
