Shaking large batch of juice

Hi All,

After some experiment i think i found some recipes that i intended for my future everyday vaping liquid.
I'm planning to do around 2-4L per recipe (out of 5 recipe) since i predict that my work will not give me a decent amount of time to do many diy mixing in the near future so i might use those for ready to go stocks especially when i'm on the road or such.

My plan is to mix pg, vg, nic and flav in 250ml each to accomplish the 2-4ml target. Some recipe might need a quite some time for steeping and currently for small batches like 30-60ml i can shake them individually by hand each couple days or whenever i have spare time and soak it in warm bath a while. But to shake couple 250ml bottles would be something, wouldn't it?

So any idea on shake during steeping time?
Or do you think shaking is unnecessary and just let it steep there for certain days?

Thank you in advance

I would in vest in a magnetic mixer or a bottle roller if I was mixing over 100ml at a time.... talking a lot of shaking there......

I will on the initial mixing time.
But i'm wondering about during steeping time since i don't want to put it back to beaker/glass for additional stirring each time. That'll be too much effort i guess.

or should i just let it steep untouched?

I'd never go to the extreme of pouring a finished juice from a bottle, into a beaker, only to stir. Why not just shake it in the bottle that you have it stored?

No, I can't say I'd wanna do that, either. My head says, just shake 'em when you think about it. If you shake 'em really well when you first mix them, then put them away til you need them, I call it good. Just shake them before you go to fill your tank. That's probably what I'd do. I've never mixed that many bottles at one time, though.

I once forgot to shake bottles before I put them in the cabinet. A few days later, it was obvious that I didn't shake them.

by the time you finish 4 liters of juice its not going to matter what you did in the beginning when you mixed it. hopefully you really like those lol. just moving them from place to place over the next couple months will be fine. shake em up sometimes but no need to make a timed ritual out of it.

Right. I had just mixed 3 bottles and put them away, forgetting to shake them first. There was a noticeable difference, from top to bottom, in the color, so I shook them up when I noticed it.

I see, yes i think that'll be noticeable. But i wonder will it be so noticeable after all the initial mixing, during steeping, to do extra shaking now and then. Just a bit nervous about it hahaha

I imagined so lol. I usually do 'small shake' before dripping now and then.

Thanks!

I mix 220ml batches often and just hit them with a badger paint mixer for 60 - 120 seconds after the initial mix then cap them and leave them for a month or 3.
Interesting!
Did it ever affect nic or flav? i never use mixer, now only stirrer (with beaker, magnets and all)

Thanks!

Once mixed most all ejuice will not separate much if any.
If they separate much at all I quit using the offending flavoring because it must have oil or something in it.

Still a good idea to shake before using just to be sure the nic is evenly distributed if nothing else.

One thought I have on mixing is that the more air you work into the juice by shaking, etc the more/faster your nic will oxidize.

Yes, i regularly shake before drip, especially on rarely-used juice and such.

Thanks!

I wouldn't be able to say. I go from recipe to recipe so I can't compare nic or flavor

I always shake the batch before I pour some out into the 30ml dropper I refill tanks from but I never shake between initial mix and breaking down of the batch to 30ml for refilling.

I mix 250 and 500mls of my favorites all the time I usually only shake it when Im about to use some. otherwise not much use in it, I use spent BCF 120 mls bottles for my daily carry around, they might be different now but the ones I saved were flat square bottles so they fit in the pocket nicely instead of round ones.at home we just have a couple 500 mls on the coffee table and just vape straight from those lol.

I use 120 ml glass bottles for my main vapes.
I use 30 ml glass dropper bottles for making tester batches of juice.

Sounds to me like the "fun to empty" square glass bottles like...

That's a nice 120ml bottles!
I buy the york style twist caps and put them on all my 120 ml flavorings that way its easy to use for weight mixing, if I need a lot I open it wide open if I need just a little I close it almost closed and can get tiny drops from it. then when the flavoring is gone it gets re used as a juice bottle :)
