That is the calculator I like best also
I like that one as well. I use it when I pretty much know in my head what flavors and % I'm going to use in the mix and/or am using my phone or tablet.

When on my laptop I use eJuiceMeUp, which I like because of the recipe saving on laptop. Both apps work really well, though eJuice has a slight learning curve.

@UncleRJ - welcome to the DIY club! :)

Everyone has their own methods/habits that work for them. You've probably already thought about this, but just tossing it out there: For nic, PG, & VG I use squeeze bottles with caps (transfer into those using funnel). I have larger ones for the PG/VG and a smaller one for the 100mg nic. Whenever I open a brown bottle of nic to refill the squeeze bottle, I squirt some argon gas into the glass bottle right before sealing it back shut and putting back in freezer.

Yeah for the PG and VG, I use ketchup picnic type squeeze bottles from Amazon. Much easier to use.

Well, it's been a busy day at.............

Mad Uncles Speakeasy and E=Liquid Lab.

UPS Delivery................... CHECK
FedEx Delivery................. CHECK
USPS Lazy Mail Bitch...... CHECK
Stop By Pharmacy and pick up a couple of Syringes (Free) CHECK!

Tomorrow I mix my very first (small) batch of E-Liquid :stars2:

50/50, 6mg Using Capella Pumpkin Pie (Spice) flavoring.

Anyone have experience with this flavor and can recommend a ratio for me to aim at?

And FYI, I prefer a Hearty Vape me Bucko's!

Well, I have just made my first batch of E-Liquid:stars2:

Pumpkin Pie Spice. 50/50 at 5 mg of nic.

It is now steeping in 120 F water in my Ultrasonic Cleaner.

I can't wait to try it!:bunny:

Tasting your first homemade juice is a religious experience....no exaggeration... :)

I found the whole process incredibly easy:bliss:

When I started laying everything out to mix, one of our cat's, The Weenie magically appeared on my mixing table.to "Help".

Which landed her in Kitty Jail for half an hour. Mixing time plus cleanup.

I was a bit nervous about working with the100mg nic solution even though I was wearing my glasses and latex gloves (for some reason I hate wearing gloves of any kind) but the 3 ml syringe I picked up from my local pharmacy made the measuring very easy, no muss, no fuss!

Now I wait:(

I used to always wear gloves when I fiddled with the 100mg... but I got over it. :D If you just get a smidge on your fingers, it's not like battery acid or toxic waste; a quick rinse in cold winter gets rid of it ASAP with zero ill effects. The only time I might glove up for 100mg now is if a) I ordered some, and it had leaked in the bag during shipping, and I had to clean that shit up; or b) I spilled a bunch and had to clean up THAT shit. Otherwise... why bother. The only caveat I would offer is that if you do need to rinse it off your fingers, cold water is better than warm -- warm opens your pores, and nicotine is skin-permeable, so opened pores might give you a big enough dose to make you a bit queasy... though probably only if it stayed on for minutes rather than seconds.

Agreed. I was the same way at first and now I only break out the gloves if I have a mess to deal with. I usually mix near the sink though, so I can easily rinse my hands or any equipment that needs it.

Hell, I was paranoid about 6mg when I first started, nearly had a connimption fit when I got some 6mg on my fingers. :giggle:

Oh absolutely! I wouldn't mix anywhere that didn't have immediate access to running water -- not only so I could rinse swiftly when I get some 100mg on my fingers, but also because I mix using syringes, and rinse them well after each flavor addition -- 3-5 times in hot water, then 3-5 times from a bowl of the reverse-osmosis-filtered water at our tap -- which is why my syringes stay in working order for several months; they not only don't build up any PG/VG remains or scents/flavors of the different flavors, but also don't build up mineral deposits from hard water, thanks to that filtered-water rinse.

This exactly -- recipes need to be percentages, or they can't be scaled.

If I can do it anyone can! I always suggest premixed nic and Vg for safety reasons.
