Are you partial to certain brands of flavoring?

I'm sure nobody gets exclusively one brand when diy'ing. But in your opinion do you have a particular brand you favor over others? If you have a favorite, can you rank the next two?

VUers, lemme see your top 3 for flavor companies. I'm still very green when it comes to this. So in no particular order-

Capella
Flavor West
The Flavor Apprentice

Really varies for me by a particular flavor within the brand itself.

INW Shisha Strawberry
TFA Dairy Milk
TFA Vanilla Bean Ice Cream
CAP Sweet Cream
TFA Blueberry Wild or Extra
FE Blackberry
CAP Sweet Tangerine
INW Lemon Cake
FA Marshmallow
FA Zeppola
FW Butter Pecan
FW Hazelnut

etc...

Pretty much everyone seems to have their favorite flavors within certain brands.
Deep rabbit hole and probably why so many of us here are flavor collectors:cool:

1. Flavor art
2. Flavor art
3. probably should put Capella's here but really anything that happens to work . after number 2 its really just about finding the perfect flavor for whatever given recipe if Flavor art doesn't make it or doesn't make it strong enough

Like @Heabob says, each flavor brand has their must haves, but that being said...

Inawera
FlavourArt
Flavorah

Those seem to be my most used brands in no particular order, but TFA and Capella are often used as well.

Most of my flavors are FlavourArt, Capella, or TFA. I have a few of various other brands, but the great majority are those first three.

I'm a DIY noob, too. But so far I'd say:

1. TFA (Signature Pistacio)
2. Capella (Whipped Cream and Vanilla Ice Cream)
3. Flavor West (Butterscotch and Caramel Candy)

Capella for anything other than tobacco, I swear by Hangsen for tobacco and won't use anything else. Tried a ton.

Pretty much the same. Cap primarily except for Tobacco and Hangsen all the way there.

us old guys call flavor art FA and the flavor apprentice is TFA ;)
Ahh it is Flavors Apprentice.
The only one of their flavors I have tried and not thrown out.
Good stuff though.
Had to look at the label again.
It is literally the only TFA flavor I have left.

there are just a few I keep around also brown sugar extra is one of them, I like vanilla swirl to, not by itself but it seems pretty useful in mixes for me

all the TFA flavorings I tried except for Brown sugar tasted too chemical to me.
Had the same issue with INW flavorings that I tried.
Most seem to like Shisha Strawberry, horrible stuff to me.
but then all artificial sweeteners taste horribly chemical to me.

Inawera would be my top pick, it has the most flavors I use on the reg.

2. I am all over the place on that one, have a favorite flavor from almost every company. Probably CAP would be there though.

3. I am on a Real Flavors kick right now with there super concentrates. Got a recipe right now using 3 out of 4 flavors being RF and it is like crack for me. There are some hits and misses with them though but then again that can be said for all the flavor makers. There great too if you have any PG sensitivities. This is what first drew me to them as I was getting real dry skin and rashes at 30PG. Now that I am at about 80VG or above the rashes and dry skin have nearly gone away.

RF Lemon cookie did not impress me.
Strawberry lemon-aid is decent strawberry, but can find no lemon in it.

I have the lemon cookie but just by smell it is not impressive. Really none of there cookies is all that great. I am sticking to FA cookie and now and then OoO Sugar Butter Cookie when I need a buttery bakery note.

I am a really big fan of RF strawberry, have the strawberry lemonade as well but haven't gotten around to using it.

I have been using RF Marshmallow like crazy as a sweetener at only .25 to .50%, really helps to make fruits pop. Find it more effective than FA Marshmallow.

I am currently testing the Creme Brulee and Cinnamon Custard

Can't use Marshmallow and such as the artificial sweetener tastes horribly chemical to me.

Would love to hear about the Creme Brulee. I have the Cinnamon Custard which I loved in the VG version but the SC version I can only taste cinnamon, maybe it just needs a long steep for the cinnamon to settle down?

I can't stand sucralose and the RF Marshmallow doesn't taste anything like that to me.

I use Capella more than anything else (mostly custards) but I have a large selection of FA and TFA with FW and INW bringing up the rear. My most used flavors are CAP VC-1, CAP Simply Vanilla, CAP French Vanilla, CAP Sweet Cream, CAP NY Cheesecake, FA Cookie, FA Vanilla Classic, and TFA Cheesecake Graham Crust. I buy all those by the 4oz bottle.

I just recently got SS after all I've read about it. I like it less than any other strawberry I've tried...too artificial for me.

I am partial to the Liquid Barn Flavorings but have tried some from Vape Wild. Feel free to ask about any I have tried or in stock.

I thought cotton candy is just ethyl maltol?

I did my cinnamon custard at 2%, just tried some on the tip of my finger and still mostly cinnamon but will drip some later tonight, it is almost 2 months steeped.

It is described as a strawberry with a sugar glaze or something like that. It is not meant to be a natural strawberry.

Just goes to show you everyone has different tastes, shisha strawberry is real popular but not for everyone. I love me some shisha strawberry but am torn between it and RFSC Strawberry.
