I'm a hardcore Hohmtech fan but I research, buy and build everything for four vapers in my home. They don't get to touch my FSK stuff. We all vape SS in TC mode. I have a number of regulated mods and mechs. I've used a lot of boards from the FSK chip to the Yihi, wismec, Evic etc... This Battlestar is hands down the best sub 40 dollar regulated mod I have owned. Now we have three of them!
The menu is so easy. I generally don't like all the dickering around to get into the TCR memory presets on many boards but they took the pain out of the rear end getting to them on this mod. Plus it does one thing no other mod, including my beloved Hohmtech mods, will do and that is it vapes SS316 wonderfully with the factory SS preset. It's the only mod I own that doesn't have me adjusting TCR values. It also takes all the guesswork out of locking or unlocking resistance. every time you remove and reattach an atty it asks it it's a new atty or not. So far they have never started that madness where it asks if you have attached a new atomizer just right out of the blue mid vaping session. The exact same atomizers and coils that give other mods with similar boards fits work wonderfully on this mod. This thing just makes TC vaping with SS easy.
If you're a new vaper or new to TC go buy this thing now and get a decent RTA and some SS316 in 24 or 26 gauge. You will soon be vaping blissfully.
It even does quite will with complicated coils. It even does well with contact coils.
I have no dog in this race other than to hopefully help anyone considering a new mod to ignore the fact that it looks like that nightmare with a similar form factor and buy it. It is better in every way. I'm not a technical vaper or expert in anything. Just a guy who has tried a lot of gear in the last 7 years. This thing stands out as one of my best purchases.
The Engine Nano just works and works well. It fits the bill perfectly for a leak free tank with a fair capacity for eliquid. Build some 3 mm id coils and go. On mine I cut the wick ends short enough that they just barely penetrate the juice openings. They don't even stick out the bottom side of the juice holes. I do stuff all of the wick into the holes though. If I try just sitting the wicks on top of the holes I get some flooding. I vape high VG eliquids in TC from 30-50 watts with these tanks. I get a dense cool vape, little to no spitback depending on wire and not the first dry hit yet. We're running 4 of these constantly, daily and they simply perform. They are so easy that anyone wanting a good single coil RTA, especially a first one could do much worse. Flavor is good and even better it you level the top of your coil with the top of the deck posts.
