I rebuilt my atomizer lastnight and I don't like how positioned my coil....
Can I readjust them and just put the wick back?

They have cotton at every pharmacy and most grocery or box stores in town for 1 to 2 dollars a bag. ... go to Walmart and buy a couple years worth.

You could always use a pair of your old Fruit-of-the-Looms (100% cotton of course). Stay away from the waistband elastic stuff though; causes the flavor to change from funky to rubbery. :p

If you run out of cotton just steal the rayon from one of the wifes tampons.

I have been using Bleached non organic USA grown cotton for over 2 years and so far only 3 toes have fallen off.
Ok, I can't differentiate the serious and the sarcastic part...

All of my post was serious.
You can vape with rayon wicking from Tampons.
And I have been vaping non bleached cotton...

Ohh yeah none of my toes fell off.
All the rest is true though.
Rayon must be wicked a bit tighter than cotton though.

Lots of people unroll cotton balls and wick with them.

I wasn't being sarcastic either. You can pull your cotton out and adjust and reuse. It will just be difficult to do. If you get it done though I can't imagine any reason not to do it. Don't burn it and get some cotton asap. As the cotton does actually break down a bit.

I wish I could get my camera to focus on it. My wife vaped her cotton down so bad that there literally was no cotton in the middle of the coil. and only about half of the coil on either side of the pig tails that were sticking out had contact with the cotton. I have no idea how she could vape like that. Maybe she couldn't tell the difference between burning death flavored and her coffee flavored juice lmao.

That is why I use rayon, no deterioration inside the coil.

As Crommie noted.... go to wherever your wife sister girlfriend or Mother get their tampons. ..... there will be wicking material on that aisle or the next over.

Some bleached cotton needs to be boil to get them to taste right.... which is fine as ALL cotton performs better after being boiled.

Yeah you burn rayon it "deteriorates" in the coil just like cotton....

That disappearing cotton isn't cause it wore away.. it BURNED away.

Rayon does not degrade like cotton, all I been using for three years is rayon. Cotton is garbage.

We all use what works best for us...

My go to material is Plain old cotton balls.
I also use allot of silica and SS mesh... just depends which atty and what I'm vaping.

I have tried just about every wicking material out there...... other than the Silica or mesh... none have been better enough to actually make vaping dedicated purchase of wicking matetial. Whatever the wife buys for the medicine cabinet or makeup kit will do fine.

I prefer to use what last the longest without degradation in flavor.

I used mesh back in 2012-2013. It gave intense flavor but, it doesn't wick as well as cotton. I've not used rayon. Haven't had the impulse. I'm happy with cotton and don't mind changing it fairly often. Usually every 2-3 days. I sort of like tinkering with stuff. The other day when I was building coils and rebuilding half of my collection my dad walked by and was like "Damn dude. Vaping is a lot of work." For me though, it's a hobby. I don't see it as work at all. Sure it takes time and sometimes I have to set aside a good 2 hours or so depending on what my goal is. I just find that part of it very engaging and satisfying when I'm done.

Someone once asked me to look at their vape because it tasted bad and was leaking like hell, they literally burnt the cotton off, it was a RTDA and the cotton came out of one of the holes as well...

I had my build kit with me, gave them a fresh coil (made one the same ohm's they had which was 0.3ohms) wick'd it, filled the vape and juiced it up, adjusted the wattage to see what was good for their setup which was about 60 watts.. Took a vape off it and it was perfect... They were like OMG look at all that vapor.. She looks at the mod and she's like OMG it's only on 60 watts, before I knew what she was doing she cranked it up to 200w and burnt it through again in about 10 minutes.....

I spent a good amount of time with them explaining how it works and that higher wattage doesn't mean more vapor.... after they understood I rewick'd it for them once more...

That's a funny story. You know if one pill is good five has to be better.

Where'd you pick that up Cromwell?
Sally Beauty Supply.
I think you can also get at amazon.

Beware they have similar stuff that is Rayon aka cellucotton.

I took mine out of the box and put in a class apothecary type of canister to keep it from absorbing anything in the air.

Unfortunately my house is about 10 feet from a river, large supplies of cotton absorb way too much moisture over time :/ I buy small 5-10packs of muji

Nice, fair trade to live by a river lol. The only time I lived near a river was when I lived in Louisiana. We lived 1/2 mile from one. I was over there all the time picking blackberries and fishing up Crappie with my cane pole.

Is cotton really that sensitive to everything?

You know how it wicks our juice, same concept it can wick moisture out of the air because it's just so dry.. and water in your cotton really affects flavor I find.. Definitely not a instant thing but after about four weeks I'll notice it.

Never use cotton balls that have been open in a bathroom.
The perfumes and such will be tasted.

Yes cotton will absorb odors and moisture it is what it does best.
