Just got in some FLV Flavors and was wondering what %'s for SA, mix, front and back notes.
I Have:
Marshmallow- I want to try it in http://www.vapingunderground.com/threads/rice-krispies-treats.345541/ and have it stand out but not take over.

Vanilla Pudding

Oatmeal Raisin( I just mixed .25% + 1.75% INW Biscuit)

Is their a rule of thumb with FLV?

Teresa P got me all hot a bothered for FLV when she turned me on to FLV Rich Cinnamon:D.
Thanks guys

Nope...and don't use the FLV suggestions at their website.

You may wish to take a peek at Smoky Blue's ...

...for some fine insight. (I do)

It must have really been her juice mixing/shaking technique that did that.

Just went through it and describes every flavor except the ones I got.
I guess it's trial and error time.

I try to limit my FLV purchases to ones mentioned here..
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/hics-notes-on-flavorah-flavorings.360301/
or here...
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/new-flavors-soon-to-come-by-flavorah.243998/
or elsewhere by TeresaP or Jimi D or... in this Forum.

Of course, many times I don't take my own advice. :)

Yeah, I saw that before. I guess I'll be the guinea pig. The reviews say 3% for Vanilla pudding, but I think I'll try 2.5%.

for the marshmallow it seems comparable to FA .. .5 to 1% as an accent or supporting flavor..I think I recall @Teresa P had made a mix with 4/5% as a standalone..

MARSHMALLOW!! I am totally in love with that one, 4-5% standalone is positively addictive! I really should save some of this bottle for mixing....lol!
Their lime is wonderful, and NO fading at all. Rich Cinnamon is one of the best bakery cinnamons I've tried, and very potent - just a drop or two in 15ml is all you need. One bottle would last for years.....

found it..

The vanilla pudding works for me between 2/3% .. but have seen some recipes with it higher.

I guess I'll see how 1.5% MM works out. I just mixed up a 40ml batch of rice krispie treats.

That might work...but for Rice Krispies...might be on the high side...for me.

On 5-19-17 I mixed up 1% INW Pear and 2.2% FLV Marshmallow. I just checked it again. While a tad lower, the mix maintains an artificial/chemical like aroma. Just like real marshmallows! Think...if you went to your grocery store and ripped off the top of a very fresh bag of marshmallows; and then stuck you nose in there for a good sniff. That's the aroma I'm talking about and I never noticed in say FA, TPA or CAP Marshmallows.

I'm not at all saying the FLV is a bad flavor. Not at all! Heck, it's the most realistic of all I've tried. I'm just saying that it might not be what long time mixers/users of the other marshmallows might be expecting.

Just my 2 cent

I just checked both the Rice Krispy recipes I occasionally make & I use CAP in one & TFA in another. I guess I need to try the FLV in one of them soon, because it's a good flavor. Looking at how I was using the other two marshmallows (3% & 4%), I'll be starting at 1.5% or so with the FLV. That's where I'm at with it in a Corn Pops recipe I'm working on & also on a creamy forest fruit recipe.

I love that marshmallow as a standalone! But I've yet to put it in a mix...depending on what position it would have in a mix, I think I would start at .5-.75.
@Squonk , the vanilla pudding is good as a standalone at 3%, YMMV. The new Vanilla Bean, not so much. Less is definitely more with that one.
I do not have the oatmeal raisin, cannot advise.

@Squonk I've been following @Smoky Blue for a while, think low on FLV. Like sub 1% in mixes. There are some that take more, but those are few and far between. I have not mixed with the Marshmallow Treats yet, but Smoky has a couple of recipes using it at 0.4 to 0.6%.

The trick with FLV is less is more!

Smoky's thoughts on flavor overuse:

I know I come across as a Smoky Blue fanboi, but her mixes with FLV at super low percentages work for me.

Thanks you Crazy Cats. I should have waited to mix. I'm trying my rice krispies(W/1.5%MM) now after only a 2 day steep and all I'm getting is MM. Absolutely delicious and fluffy MM. Hopefully the other flavors will catch up with steeping. If not that's OK. I'll mix up another batch at a lower %.

It should mellow & turn into more of a cream after awhile.
