Not sure if this should be here but wanted to see what everyone thinks

I have a smok alien 220 and a baby beast tank I just got my smoant charon ts 218 and I get a totally different taste from my baby beast tank when I switch from the alien to the smoant at same voltage and I don’t know why it’s doing that so figure would see what all you guys think about this thanks in advance for any input

Is the Alien set for one of the different Power Settings like Normal or High? Are you running the Baby Beast in Wattage Mode like it is supposed to be fired?

That is normal. You will have to adjust to the different mods. Only thing I have that will run basically the same is the mods I have Articfox firmware on. They work the same due to same firmware. My other mods I have to adjust to what atty is being used and to the mod itself. Going from a Alien to a Caron I would imagine you will see a noticeable difference.

They are both on normal and same wattage that’s why I don’t get it

Yeah I see the difference in them like I said it’s a different taste and everything from one to the other I just want to see what everyone thought on it

I shelved my Alien due to the fact that I thought it ran on the weak side. I wanted a bit more power. As I bought other mods I noticed the difference and shelved it. Only my opinion and observations.

This is totally normal. You have to understand there is a difference in firmware. How your alien achieves said "_____watts" is where your seeing a difference. Because of the firmware. All mods get to said Watts and temp differently. Some curve, some are instantaneous, some rise slower than others.

That being said, your Charon is imo a ton better than your alien.

Wich do you prefer. Without reading too much into it let's do a test. 60 watts on each mod same tank. Wait 4 minutes and pull from one wait 4 more minutes then pull from the other one making sure your pulling for 4 to 6 second from each.

How and where does it differ?

You have to set up a controlled experience.

Sorry for lengthy answer. My brain goes into overdrive thinking about this. About all variables that go into vaping.

Some mods also hit harder than others. Mod A may say 60w and in fact is hitting more like 56w and mod B says 60w but is hitting more like 63w. They're not all completely accurate to their display and with some falling lower or some overshooting on the power there can be a noticeable spread difference.
