IMO stick with Jewelers/Dentist drills if you want a drill with foot control for variable speed they're about the best that you can get.Probably wouldn't want that switch , youbshould want to change speed by pressing harder . That one is on or off , if you have a drill with a speed selector knob it would probably work ok but you could get a speed control switch from a sewing machine and wire it into switch of the drill for speed up and slow down capability
