I always wash stuff out of the box (tanks, not the mod). A little warm/hot water and dish soap works well. Just be sure to rinse well to avoid any soapy after taste. Rebuilding yourself is a lot cheaper than factory coils or being stuck tossing a whole coil just because the cotton is burnt or saturated with too many different flavors. Simple coils wrapped from a single wire are easy enough and will work to start.
A coil jig can make things easier like a coilmaster v3 or v4 kit with multiple rods of common size for coil inner diameters ranging from 1.5mm to 4mm. Not absolutely necessary though, for months I used a couple different sized nails. A 16d (16 penny) common nail is around 4.2mm. For easier spaced coils, try using a machine screw (finer threads than a wood screw). Find one around the diameter you want the coil to be and wrap the wire in the grooves then unscrew the screw from the coil.
If you have thinner gauge wire like 26 or 28ga it's easy enough to take two pieces and twist them together first, then wrap your coils out of that. Either by hand or with a drill if you have one. Even if you don't have a drill, take a piece of wire more than twice the length you plan to use, fold it in half and make a loop at the folded end. Use a pen or pencil to place through the loop and hold the other ends of the wire with pliers and keep winding. Just be aware as it twists the overall length of the twisted wire will get shorter by around 1/4 to 1/3. Plenty of easy things to try with wire to improve performance or flavor without going crazy on complex builds.
The ammit would be more suited for direct lung, the siren for mouth to lung (like smoking a cig) or possibly restricted lung hits. Both should work fine on that mod. If you're new to making coils, don't get discouraged if they don't come out right. Either bend back into shape if possible or toss and start over. Wire is pretty cheap.
