Vaping on Ni coils

So I'm pretty new to the whole vaping scene and had a question about vaping on Ni coils.

First off my device is a Vaporesso Revenger X and usually I'm either using the NRG tank (subohm coils) or my Serpent SMM RTA (w/ claptons). My previous mod was a SMOK Magneto Telescoping mod with with an Aspire Atlantis Tank.

I've since bought some Aspire Triton Ni200 .15 ohm coils for the Aspire tank and wanted to use it to test flavors since its only a 2ml tank. I was wondering if I had to use TC since it is Nickel.

Tried it s couple times in TC but its a bitch to switch back and forth.. If i have to use TC then the Smok mod wont be able to accommodate it also.. just want to make sure when I pass it along I don't kill anyone..

Nickel is only a temp control alloy actually it's not even an alloy alloy means a mix of metals. That's all nickel. I saw threads a while back that people were using it for mechs but that's retarded. Don't do that. Nickel or ni200 is a temp control only metal.

If you ask me, I'm no temp control addict, I actually don't even like it, but there are certainly better temp control wire or coil your can buy like SS. SS Trump's all some also like titanium, but SS is better.

You don't need TC. You can use Ni200 coils in power mode, and even with mechs. Check out this thread: http://vapingunderground.com/thread...reheat-and-tc-ish-on-a-mechanical-mod.325223/ . But you need to understand how it works, because the resistance isn't fixed as the temperature of the atomizer varies.

Don't let anybody tell you nickel is dangerous or toxic. Those who say that usually heard it from some clueless youtuber, spew out what they heard, but haven't actually experimented with the stuff themselves and have no idea what they's talking about first hand.

Me, I've been vaping almost exclusively on Ni200 for years, ever since the DNA40 came out, with or without TC, and I'm still alive. In fact, most of my atomizers are mounted on purpose on Ni200 with a resistance that make them compatible with mechs. That way I can use any of my atomizers on any mod, electronic or not.

If you too want to enjoy it, all you need is to understand perfectly how Ohm's law works, how metals with temperature coefficient resistance work, concentrate on perfecting your wicking - which isn't always easy with soft metals like nickel - and you'll get good results regardless of the mod or mode.

I have much to learn @Giraut regarding this..
ill need to read up a bit more to feel comfortable to Vap Ni outside of TC mode; perhaps i need to understand a bit more on ohms law and such. .thanks for the reference!

the thing that scares me is the bold warning to the Aspire Triton Ni200 .15 ohm coils website selling them. .

Well, it's hardware made to be sold to average vapers. Aspire, like all companies, probably has lawyers that advise them to restrict the use of their gear to a narrow range of applications, and stick big red warnings everywhere to scare people from doing anything else, in case they get sued. If you know what you're doing though, it's different.

In any case, even if you don't understand it all, here's something safe you can do: stick a Ni200 coil in your atomizer, set the mod to power mode at 5W, and slowly jack up the power 1W by 1W. You'll see that eventually you'll get a nice hit, exactly like with SS or Kanthal. No difference whatsoever, as power is power and power regulation works regardless of how the coil's resistance changes. If you go slowly from 5W up, it'll be perfectly safe to try.
