Some of us have learned the hard way to use the lock ring before sitting down with a mod in your pocket...Hot Pocket, Vape Lap, 2nd Degree Burn

I found a new one today that led me to start this thread....I think it's new....

Don't air drum in your car with a loose drip tip....Drip tips can launch out the window. Not happy, but laughed.

What else do you guys got?

If youre using one of the various Protanks and have an airflow controller on it, make sure you are spinning it off by grabbing the controller and not the tank....it will save you from losing juice and making a mess...don't ask me how I know this...

When I first started vaping had an ego with a full 3ml cardo tank set up in my pocket and forgot about it when I sat down. Snapped drippy mess! One week later : same set up, same pocket ; reached to take it out to avoid the SAME mess, and all that came out was the tank  Damnnit!

I had just bought my first mod, a magneto, and had an old vivi nova tank on it. I put it in my drawer at work and when I closed the drawer, the mod slid to the back and started firing. I came back an hour later and found juice all over the drawer with a melted vivi tank. Thank goodness the coil popped or I would likely have had a fire on my hands. The mod was fine after I cleaned it up,but the batt was dead, the wrapping had melted and shrunk down half the side of the battery. Now I always lock my mods when I walk away......

I was driving and placed my mod in the cup holder, after awhile I saw it was firing and tried touching it. That's how I learned to always use the lock rings lol.
Also don't have your mod on you if you plan on going bar hopping, I lost two mods that way, one of which I broke lol >.<

I once knocked my Ovale V8 with a Phoenix RBA on it off my desk...three things happened whe it hit the floor:

1. snapped the DT in half, it was a nice clear acrylic Ming too
2. found out what the Ovale looks like on the inside
3. put a 1/8" divot in my hardwood floor

Oopsie.

Kissing a hot coil hurts like a mofo.
Gum & back up coils in blister packs should not go into the same purse pocket.
You don't have to press the "home" button on your phone 3 times to see the time.
Forgetting to wick a new coil in a mini protank will render your vape useless & cause mad cussing fits. Then laughter & calling yourself a dumbass.

Fell asleep with an unlocked nemi. Rolled into the couch firing. No fire luckily but that was because the coil snapped.

don't carry your naked spare battery in your pocket with your keys and spare change...

When this happened to me I'm pretty sure I was 3 seconds away from a straight vent situation lol. Haven't made that mistake again yet and it's been almost 2 years.

lol
Did you go back for it?

Of course I did... but, I didn't have far to go. I realized right away that that sound was my mod hitting the roof and then trunk of my car.

It cracked the tank and left a nice little paint chip on the trunk of the car. The mod is still working to this day.

The mod was a Puresmoker Prodigy V3. It was a heavy (at the time..), well made device. I put it through hell and it still looks brand new.

I've seen I don't know how many people hit an ecig like a real cig for the first time and cough their heads off. Only to do the same thing the first time my bf handed me his dripper. I coughed like someone who'd never used an ecig.

I do that to smokers (if I've got my mech with me and dripper) when they try and tell me ecigs are too weak and not worth bothering with. I open up the air flow and tell them to take a good deep lung hit :)

Accidentally touch your finger to a red hot coil and you will remember it. Nothing like the smell of burning flesh.

It's brandin' time!!! LOL

At my desk adjusting the positive pin with a screwdriver on my turtle ship the other day. Forgot to lock the button. *pop* mod starts to heat up. Raced down the stairs and chucked the battery in the back of my truck. Was afraid it would catch fire if I threw it in the garbage.

I have the tendency to always forget to tighten the cap of my ejuice and spillage!

Along the same lines, more than once I've overtightened the cap and then removed the cap of my ejuice without paying attention, went to fill ecig, and dumped a boat load of eliquid all over my rig because the tip of the bottle came off with the cap (was stuck inside the cap).

Don't put your mod on top of your car while looking for your keys, then drive away. It doesn't end well for your mod, or your car.

you beat me to it, only i was gonna say don't put your mod on top of the car while pumping gas. same goes for cell phones. i have driven away with each or both. made me very pissy. (people in oregon and nj can disregard this post ;) )

For those that remember... Pluid used to be harder to get than friendly service at the BMV.
Finally, I managed to catch some in stock and immediately put three bottles in my cart. Unfortunately, I was so excited to actually be ordering some that I didn't accept the 'terms and conditions' and my order didn't take. By the time I realized it (half an hour later), they were sold out.
It was another 7 weeks before I found some again...
If that wasn't bad enough, when I eventually did get some it was only one bottle and I ended up spilling out on the carpet before I ever got to fill a tank.
I almost cried.
:( ;)

lol. I have one vendor who told me if I add what I want to the basket before midnight their discount code will still work. But that's liberty-flights in the uk. Oh yes, and it was diy stuff. So make your juice. Then you can spill it all you want ;)

If you have a mod holder in your car, don't fall asleep in the passenger seat with your $200 mod in your lap, knowing your driver is going to be on THAT road that looks like they gave Jose a big bottle of tequila and a crayon and said draw the road. Don't then bitch to the driver that your mod fell off your lap, while you fell asleep and they didn't. [I was the driver, the road is a twisting turning monstrosity through a state forest]

If you're rebuilding your coil, and have your fingers on the posts and coils, don't fire the mod with your other hand.

Clean up your kanthal scraps from your desk/chair, because if you thought stepping on legos sucked you haven't seen anything yet.

If you're a customer, and don't want to pay attention to the basic use of your setup being shown to you for the 4th time by the shop you're at, and you get home and break it so it doesn't work, DO NOT throw away your atty, only to go back into the same shop 2 days later and buy the same exact atty, and again ignore the guy building it for you. There are poor vapers who can use your 2nd hand cast offs. [I got to witness this one]

If you've recently put your only battery on the charger, and you go to fire your mod and it doesn't work, try putting the battery in first before you rebuild the atty.

If you're given juice that's supposed to not have nic in it, and you take a hit, ask the owner to make sure there's juice in the tank and that you're not dry hitting cotton in a kayfun, its the equivalent burn of a nic included juice, especially if your manage to vaporize your cotton.

Sweetener is very powerful stuff, use sparingly, try your juice before you add sweetener.

Don't store your fully loaded dripper sideways in your purse, especially if you have anything of value in the same pocket. My crochet hooks were really super smooth and smelled nice for a week.

Don't mistakenly try to use your drink with a straw in it, to fill your dripper.

If you're using your cloud chasing rig in the car, please for everyone's safety make sure there's adequate cross ventilation with most of the airflow being out the passenger side window, your driver will appreciate being able to see oncoming traffic.

I was drilling my air holes out last night while watching a movie. Took a break for a bit & kick back. Go for a vape & noticed my drip tip didn't feel right. Looked on the table, cap & DT still there. Luckily the chamber reducer kept me from torching my lip.... All this while sober

Dropped my Prodigy V3 off the roof onto cement, dropped it into my pool, and onto just about every substrate known to man! It has one small divit in the top cap; otherwise it's almost like New. Still has the original hardware and has never let me down!

Thank you for the birthday comment. We didn't get drunk but we did have a good time just hanging out and talking vape stuff.

Happy B-day @StaceyL, Sounds like you had a good time!

Always remember that a Prometheus clone uses a threaded ring for airflow control, but an O-ring to hold the cap on. You can even take off the threaded bit and the airflow control ring to get a better grip- no matter how hard you try to unscrew the cap, it won't budge. You'll cut your fingers on the airflow threads long before the O-ring will rotate. It comes off very easily as long as you pull it straight off instead of trying to unscrew it.

The story would be would be less funny if I hadn't momentarily forgotten about this whole experience and managed to cut threads into my fingers for the second time a few weeks later. I suddenly remembered to pull instead of twist when I saw a familiar-looking pattern of blood and deeply grooved skin appear..
