Ni200 22guage coil

I have some issues with coil building. I do wraps of ni wire i m using gemini rta and vape mod is revenger x. When i put coils and tighten the screw. When i tried to fire it show short atomizer sometimes low atomizer. And ohms 0.3 ohms reading when i lose scrw it gives 0.8 ohms somethings i dont know whats the wrong can someone help me out :/

NI200 shouldnt be used outside of temp control ...it’s resistence will jump a fair amount when heated not sure if you were aware of that?

I'm counting 6 wraps, approx 3 mm ID? Parallel build. With Nickel 200 GA 22 this should give you roughly 0.013 Ohms. Are there any regulated mods which can fire THAT low at all? Atomiser short warning is expected if your mod can't. Even at 200 degrees (C) coil temperature it wouldn't read anywhere near 0.3, let alone 0.8. Something is wrong.

Agree with lucifah here 22g is really quite large and you have very little resistence there ....the mod may well be shorting ....are you positive this is NI200?

Also all screws on all four posts needs to be tight none of them should be lose, and are coils pulled away from the posts difficult to see in the pic with the angle

When i put single coil it show ohms .8 ohm when i put dual coil it show 0.03 ohm may be ohms are too low ? How can i fix that

Have you got any thinner gauge to use on hand? Your gonna need at least 8 wraps of 28g for NI200 to fire on the revenger...despite what it’s showing on screen the mod isn’t happy with the resistance and it’s refusing to fire cause it’s detecting too low resistance

Perhaps go for another material such as NI80, SS316L, Kanthal....although if you want TC stick with SS

On gemini rta can i use single coil it works on 22guage ni200. Its dual coil

I don’t believe you can it’s a dual coil only rta

You have 2 options

You either need thinner gauge wire 28g or above
Change wire material
