So I have a Tripple 18650 pwm box mod coming in, I'm curious on what build to put in it, ik I need a high ohm build... I have a steamcrave Titan coming within the next week with a series deck but I need a coil for my rda.. I have 24g a1 kanthal what build could I do with high enough ohms to be Super safe.. also what are my limits?

I'll be building on a bonza rda or a riot rda

Thanks in advance everyone

I would start with a .5ohm build and see how you like that, I am vaping on a triple series pwm box now at .38 ohms and max power on a goon 1.5, lovely vape, a little too much for others that have tried it, but I find it perfect.

wow .38 on a triple series at full pot setting
that's 417 watts and 33.16 amps at full charge

here's the thing PWM is straight out OHMS law
so it depends on your battery first off
then it depend son your pot setting as well

But I would recommend .4ish as the lowest on a triple and if you are going that low get some sony vtc5as or LG HB6s dont use rewraps ever on a pwm mod and run that low. if your running 20 amp batteries try and stay above .7 which is a dual coil is ss 316l claptons 4mm ID 28/36 with about 9 wrpas

With it being tripple 18650 pwm I was thinking more of a higher ohm build, how many wraps and what size could I get a .6 ohm dual coil, I don't wanna risk it, I'm running 25rs..
With a series deck it'd be running it like one coil so i could use my premade coils.. but I need a good build for a rda and recommendations
I only have 24g kanthal RightNow

Sorry, I replied to the wrong thread. The mod sounds pretty sweet, you should post pics when it comes in.

ok first you need to familiarize yourself with this site
http://www.steam-engine.org/

using it
24ga kanthal with a 3.5mm ID at 6 wraps should be about .6

make sure you use an ohm reader or a mod that reads resistance first before using it on a pwm device.

Using vtc5a batts here, also my coils are SS so they do come up in resistance once they heat up, on a regulated mod it reads around .4ohms while I am vaping.

everyone has their own style, plus at that high power I doubt your holding the fire button in that long. plus with stainless and te hfact your draining the batteries faster the amps being pulled will decrease. Being the forgetful clutz I am, I'd just be worried if my fire button got depressed in my pocket and I left it on.

I don’t carry that one in my pocket, it’s a b Hammond box, a little large for pocket carry.
Surprisingly my batteries last most of the day with pretty heavy vaping, even when I pull them to charge they read 3.8-3.9 volts

My dual PWMs last 2-4 days at 50 on the pit with .7 SS builds but I rotate between 3 all day and use about 15mls a day. When you only have a 510 to power batteries last longer
I have all the parts to build a triple box right now except my PWM chip. Its a B box But the sled I got makes no sense to me yet. I will eventually be trying to build my first PWM box. Someone traded me all these parts for some atty I had a while back. Can't decide if I want to cram a triple sled in there, or do a double so I have more room to work on it since this is my first build.

To the OP
when you get your build on set you pot low, like 10-20 and work your way up to find your sweet spot

Should I keep the power under 12v what do u recommend, saftey wise? I'm gonna use a .6 ohm 24g kanthal dual coil

At .6 ohms, as long as you are using good batteries, it will be fine no matter what you have the pot set to.

Try it at half duty cycle first and increase from there, you should respect the power, but don’t be afraid to use it, that’s what you got a triple series box for.

I generally keep mine between 85-100% duty cycle (power), but I like a hot dense vape.

I'm assuming I should lower my nic to make it smoother, I currently vape a 6mg, what mg do u use?

you are using full voltage no matter what your pot is set to. the pot does not adjust voltage or watts it just changes the timing cycle to shorter or longer. That mimics adjusting voltage/wattage but you are always using the full voltage of the battery at all times

Thanks for the info Matt! Is there any other useful tips you have for me?

I use 6 myself, it really isn’t too much different than vaping at 200 watts on a regulated device, you don’t need to alter your juice.
