coil for topbox mini

I've used the RBA head a lot over the past 2 yrs in my TopTank mini, which is the tank for the kit you are asking about

It's gonna be REALLY difficult to fit a triple-core clapton under the screws on the deck of the RBA head...

Look for single-core claptons and you'll have a better chance.

24g single-wire is about the maximum thickness you can get to fit under the screw heads and that is about 0.5mm in diameter, so 32g is 0.2mm x 3 = 0.6mm and then you have the outer wrap wire for the claptoning, so I think you are looking at coils that are too thick for that RBA head.

Wire thickness are shown here: http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.html

Also, if you plan to run that mod full-out @ 75w, your single 18650 battery is gonna be depleted pretty quickly and unless you are using a Sony VTC5a, you are damaging the battery cell by pushing it so hard.

You might want to rethink this and watch all of Mooch's videos about how to use batteries for vaping here:

(start with EPISODE 1 [scroll down] and then watch from there)

Otherwise you are going to get hurt.

Glad to help. :)

Please report back if you find something that works really well for you, as I'd love to hear about it.

Good luck
I m using a simple coil with 0.5 that came with the topbox to install in the RTA, its no bad at all, much better then the ones that are sold in 5 packs. just wanted to know if i can use a Alien coil. i`m gonna try the UD normal clapton coil with 0.5 ohm, probably gonna take more w, since my sweet spot for the one i`m using right now is about 35w.

Yes with claptons you have more wire mass, so you need more watts to vaporize the juice, otherwise you are just boiling it and will get spitback and hot juice in your mouth.

Alien coils as I said before are probably going to be too thick to install in the RBA head, you can try if you like, but I caution you to set your expectations accordingly and not spend a lot to buy the pre-wrapped coils or the wire on spools.

Also, do not confuse 0.5 Ohm resistance with 24g 0.5mm wire strand diameter.

i know, the clapton coil is 0.5 ohms SSOC.

As others have said, the RBA mini is pretty small. Although, you can do a lot with it if you have patience and good eyesight. lol.
Use the coil building tool on steam-engine.org to plan the wattage of your build (below 75w), aside from that, all you have to do is keep your resistance above your mods minimum and below the max. (I once used a dual coil build on that... never again.. lol).

Now keep in mind what you have is a basic starter tank. Nothing real fancy like a cloud beast or Combo tank. So you want to go for improved flavor, but...you will never get the same flavor as you would with one of the other tanks. With that in mind, a simple single core clapton, or small dual core clapton will be about as fancy as you want to go. I probably wouldn't go any larger than 28ga for the core wire., which should get you 4 or 5 wraps while keeping a decent resistance.

With that tank, a 2.5 id core or even 2.0 id core would be best, to avoid shorts.
