ADHD meds and Nicotine

Hey guys, long time no see, so today I want to share an experience with you because I cant explain it, but you might...
So I have ADHD, and a very bad case of it... So I have tried a lot of different meds, and most of them had weird reactions with nicotine...Now, I vape extremely high nicotine liquids, like 18mg on a dripper...
Another thing to keep in mind is that I'm very sensitive to all drugs, legal, illegal, alcohol, everything except caffeine...
So, nicotine and Ritalin, that was pretty good, it's hard to explain but it makes the buzz better in my opinion...Weird but I'm not complaining
Nicotine and Adderall on the other side, that was no good... I was on my first day on Adderall, Saturday morning (thank god), sitting there, feeling the meds hit, and then I hit my vape a few times... And I start to feel very weird-bad, I got a little bit nauseous, I start sweating and my knees shake... At that moment my brain didn't combine the two, so I took some more hits to calm down... The result? Vomiting and feeling like shit for the rest of the day... I'm sure this is caused by nicotine as I replicated this the next day with just a few hits, and I immediately felt bad again...
So, is this something documented before or is it only me ?
And guys, please don't start on the high nic thing, I know...
Also if this thread violates any drug rules of the forum I'm sorry, but I think I'm good cause I'm only talking about prescription medication.
I'm actually really worried about this and I don't want to have to make the choice between vaping nic and strong meds... Any helpful comments are super appreciated...

Granted, we're not Drs., but IMO, if the meds work well for you, lowering your nic til you find the sweet spot might help. I say might, since I'm not a doc. I just think it can be super difficult, with some things, to find the medicine that suits you best, so that's first and foremost. If that seems to be the one that does suit you best, keep that the priority, finding the nic level 2nd.

Adding one stimulant to another is bound to make anyone woozy.

Just an opinion of a non professional.

Thanks for the reply, I agree that the medications should be my first priority and at this moment it is, the problem is that I don't know if I can cut down on nicotine that fast... I vape 18mg on a dripper on a series mech, I been at this strength for well over a year, maybe close to two and it's been good at keeping me off cigs, I'm kind of scared of this situation...

Ditto........That's tough because drugs/stimulants don't affect people the same way or have the same chemical interaction inside you. Huckleberried is spot on. I'd nail down the meds first, then work on finding a balance for the nicotine.

IMHO if you vape 18mg in a dripper you need to cut down on the nicotine and you mentioned making a buzz better...
Most of us do not use nicotine for the buzz, but to stay off smokes.

Just my opinion as a lifelong ADD sufferer with no medical training. Seems like the Buzz part would make the H part of ADHD worse?

Adderal is speed it turns into a form of Methylamphetamine when processed by the Liver if you use common sense and use Google I would bet you can find all kinds of info about the interaction of drugs with drugs with drugs bruh..

The Buzz never makes me more hyperactive, it calms me down and helps me focus... That's why I started using nicotine products in the first place... This seems to be a very common thing for people with ADHD...
And it's not just the buzz, nicotine in general helps me a lot to function better, so I kept vaping higher and higher strengths, and here I am... I know that I need to cut down on nicotine drastically, and fast but I have no clue how... Any suggestions?

Well if it helps you that is good however if it interacts badly with your meds you just need to cut down on the nic.
Vape less and or use lower strength nic.
Just do it.

Im not a doctor but I do know about addiction. Stimulants go great with other stimulants as they enhance the effects of one another. You could substitute any other stimulant for vaping and have a heightened experience from both.

The end game is a high tolerance to both substances and stronger need for both to get your "buzz". This is the feedback loop for addiction. Best advice is to keep it vanilla and take the medication you need and cut out anything else extracurricular so you don't go off the rails. If people can get addicted to bath salts and huffing paint, a person could get addicted to nicotine and adderal.

Could try other forms of e liquid including nic salts, NET and WTA, on different setups.

There are a few mtl drippers now, as well as open and closed system pod devices. Also plenty of newer mtl rta tanks.

Could add one of these while gradually lowering the nic on the original rda/mech setup. I see vapers who use rda/mech but also carry a Juul, Breeze, etc. Easier than carrying around 2 mods.

For anyone that cares to know, the huge incentive in combination with the fear of bad reactions made it actually pretty easy for me to drop my nicotine waaay down to 6mg (from 18), sure the first few days were just baaad, but the "withdrawls" were over in less than 4 days... Bumpy ride but it was worth it, even if my meds change I won't raise the nic again, it's just not worth it, and expensive to say the least... The only part I strugled with was late nights after work, I was used to sit on my pc and vape like 10mls in an hour... Oh man some alcohol and good company does wonders...
Does anyone else has experiences with droping nic strainghts really fast?

Glad that it worked out for you!

When I've reduced nic strengths, I've only done it by 2 or 3 mg at a time. That's one of the things I like about DIY.

I dropped from 18 to 3 and bumped it back up to 6 to stop grinding my teeth. Its like any readjustment, there is a small period of discomfort.

Taper off a few months at a time. You're at 18 now, so switch to 12, then in a month or two 6-9, etc.

it's hard to explain but it makes the buzz better in my opinion...

I am not a Doctor but if you are taking Medications you are not supposed to be getting buzzed. If you are looking for that buzz or a buzz that is a sign of addiction. Sounds like you are using your medications to get high and not get better or normal.

Just my opinion and you must remember I am not a doctor and do not play one on the Internet.
