Best wattage / ohms

Hi everyone

I'm new to vaping and have a few questions about what is the best wattage to use.

I have a Vaporshark with both a Kylin or Geek Vape Zeus atomizer (both double coil).

The mod currently states that it is running at 0.43 ohms. The shop set it up using 26 guage wire.

What is the best wattage to use for flavour?

If I use a different atomizer or different coils and the ohms increase does this mean I need to increase the wattage to get the same effect?

Thanks in advance for the help

Hey Jon, welcome to VU. Nice device and tanks for a new vapor, lol. Find a starting point, say 50 watts. Then you can adjust your wattage up or down until you find a satisfying vape. If you change coils (lower/higher resistance), you can also adjust your wattage to what works for you. I would advise to start low, and work your way up. Flavor is a personal thing, so what wattage works best for you might not for someone else. Takes awhile, but you'll get it. Good luck.

Best Rule Of Thumb:
  1. First off, find some Youtube vids - Vaping With Vic is easy to follow. Get some basics.
  2. Second, start low and raise the watts until you are comfortable.
  3. #2 holds true for TC temperatures as well.
  4. Steam Engine is a great reference for making coils, ballpark wattage, etc - plenty of info on that site.
Watch, Test, Listen, THINK - ultimately you are the one responsible. All anyone else has is an opinion, (they may even have a degree, but it's an opinion).. The thinking part is not optional.

Enjoy

26 ga wire at .43?
I would start low maybe 30-35W and work my way up until i got the vape I wanted.
I vape .35 Parallel 26GA SS316L at 25 watts. But it is in a single coil atty.

There is no BEST.. start low and work your way up till happy....

FWIW... my current build is .3 ohms 2x28 twisted running at 15watts....... there's more to optimal wattage than OHM rate.

Yep depends on lots of things especially the atomizer. Coil chamber size, air flow, etc.

I run a .44 26 ga SS316l coil at 16 watts in a Subtank Mini RBA. Very nice and flavorful vape.
However would not work very well at all in a Dead Rabbit.
