How would you carry your E-juice when flying?

Sometimes during long international trips I need to bring 100 ml of juice with me. (I make my own)

I put them in multiple 30ml bottles but lots of times they causes a mess. I think it's due to the air inside the bottle that if the bottles are flipped upside down, it'll push juice out of the bottles when outside pressure decreases.

Anyone else have the same problem?

thanks

Air pressure in plane is less than "ground level" - so the bottle does "push" liquid out.

a) Use bottles that can screw on TIGHT, and screw them on TIGHT
b) maybe squeeze a little air out, THEN tighten - gives the air inside a little room to expand before leaking...
c) Put them in a baggie anyway, just in case.

I use 60 ml bottles, in baggies, in carry-on. And I've been on about 100 flights without a bottle leak.
Rarely need more than 1 to get me through a trip, but you can bring as many 100ml bottles as you can fit in a Quart baggie under TSA rules.

Good question. I'll be flying in a couple of weeks and I need to take enough for seven weeks.

Do you always put them in carry on? Has anyone ever questioned you about them?

As surprising as it is, TSA checkers seem to be up to date on mods, tanks and liquids,

I just pack my liquids into a quart-sized bag, along with my mods and properly packaged batteries and the whole lot goes into my carry on bag.

I have never had a single issue.

Nope. All good.
ONE time (again - out of about 100) a TSA guy wanted to see my squonk mod. They do kind of look like detonators, lol.
And recently, my bag got pulled out of line, but when she went to it, she went right for a side pocket that had a bottle of Nyquil - "I have to swipe this, then you can keep it". I'd forgotten about it...
So - no - never any problem with bottles of juice. Just stay in the limits: 100ml bottles or smaller, and as many as you can fit in a quart sized ziplock...

On a recent flight back from NYC, I had a K-Bag filled with 60 ml bottles in my carry on, and checked an entire suitcase of samples. No problems...

Yer supposed to pack the ejuice with yer binary-chemical-weapons & explosives, right next to the C4 and pepper-spray, jackknife and nailfile.

Thanks. The problem I'm facing is I'm going to Thailand. I won't bring any mods with me but I'm gambling they won't care or know about the bottles of juice.

If it's nicotine you're after, I'd seriously consider something like nicpicks (toothpicks) as vaping is against the law in Thailand and the penalty can be up to 5 years in prison. I imagine potentially adding a smuggling charge might inflate that. Be safe.

Oh, that's a whole different thing...my experience and advice all pertains to North American flights...and laws.

It's one of those weird Thai things. Lots of people vape there and occasionally a cop will write a ticket and you have to pay on the spot (income supplements). It's customs you don't want to take a chance with. I've never been stopped in 20 years of going there, but there's always the first time for everything.

Of course, I could just smoke for a while.

Have always packed my juice inside individual ziplock bags inside a waterproof dopp kit from marshals and stuffed in my checked luggage. 100's of domestics and 20-30 international trips has never raised a single eyebrow or had any removed or taken away.

I only keep what I plan to vape in transit on me.

Have fun in Thailand Bob.

If your going to Pattaya, Stay at the Nautical Inn on Beach rd. It's about a mile from Walking St. and right across the street from the beach
It's quiet and very clean. Last time I was there was 2 years ago.
I've been there around 20 times and only been checked once at Customs.
They confiscated my Jack Daniels.
Dicks!
Also, Don't forget your raincoats!

When I go by myself I stay in Jomtien as I know people there. I always rent a condo in one of those massive high rises. I love rainy season there, the worst the better for me. I do live in a desert, after all.

When I go with my family we hit different islands. Our last trip was on Koh Lanta during the summer. About 70% of the island was shut down for low season and it was so quite and peaceful, unlike the big islands. I first went to Thailand in 98 with my soon to be wife. I've been there every year since, some years twice. The weather, food, geography, people...it's pretty hard to beat, imo.

I do the same, put juices that are clearly marked and labeled (commercial) or diy (label maker) in my carry on, as well as mods. A year ago I did have issues with diy or juices that only had a hand written label on it. As well as with my 18650 batteries (packed in a clear battery case, not inside the mods), Paris decided that these were a legal weapon and dangerous apparently, while every other custom agent or/and airline/airport security didn't have the problem. So they kept them.

I would say its up too the airport and dude that's checking that day. Not sure about Thailand I only take trips from the US to EU or inside the US. Hope you have better luck lol. Enjoy your trip.

So the bottles can be partially filled and it won't leak as long as it's screwed on tight?

thanks

I went to Mexico for three months. I brought 630ml along. It was mostly in 60ml & 120ml bottles. I had 1 30ml bottle. I put them all in a big zip lock bag and in my checked luggage. There was a little leakage but I think no more than 2 or 3 ml. It was no problem at all.

Was it enough for the 3 months?

I'm going away soon for 7 weeks and I'm planning on 500 ml, but I cranked up the nic levels so hopefully I won't need to vape as much as usual.

I bought 60ml while we were there. It was pretty bad stuff so I didn't vape as much. We stayed an extra week. Had we left when we were going to, it might have lasted. Before we left I started two new 30s to see how long they would last. They lasted just over 8 days. So I figured 7.5ml per day times 91 days to approximate how much I would need. It was pretty close. I should have brought maybe 60 more. Of course everyone is different. Then if you're going to be drinking a lot all bets are off. Enjoy your 7 weeks.
I made the 630 for a bit more than what the 60 cost me at the B&M. If you make your own bring extra. If not, it's not going to matter a lot except you might not find a flavour you like. They're not into sampling flavours down there like we are.

The idea of buying juice isn't a good one. What a massive hit or miss that must be. Another question is how many batteries did you bring and how did you carry them? I read yesterday you can only bring 2 Li-ion batteries on a plane.

If so, that's a very new reg. I carried something like 16 in cases last month.

Ok, just did some more looking and found that it depends on the size. For 18650, it's a bunch but when you move up in size, such as for cameras, recording equipment, etc it's limited to two.

I also just found out that last year a phone battery caught fire on Sri Lanka Airlines in the overhead bin. I'm flying on them. I wonder if they're a bit twitchy?

I don't know what's allowed but I had 3 sets (6). I had no problem at security in Toronto or in Puerto Vallarta. I bought a 2 bay charger early on down there. I paid about the same as I would've here at a B&M.
