Perzactly. Big Pharma makes the drugs. Doctors are the drug pushers.
My last doctor visit was about six months ago...my thyroid was elevated. After VERY little research, all it took was iodine, B-12 and selenium....now it's perfectly normal.

The doctor wanted to put me levothyroxine....I told him to save the paper, I'll figure it out myself.

Who in their right mind would kill a Guinea Hen?............:teehee:

Damn, those guineas are fierce, I don't know how the foxes do it. The only times we've ever lost any were to foxes, but since we got the Pyrs, we haven't lost any except to old age or stupidity (like flying up into the horse trough and drowning...). I've been attacked several times while trying to help one of their babies that got left behind. They tromp all over the place, just expecting the brand new little keets to be able to keep up, and they can't. Well, I'd hear one peeping at the top of its lungs and go pick it up to put it up with the rest of the brood. HA! As soon as the parents saw I had one of their babies, it was a full-on attack. Being a bit on the stubborn side myself, I tried this several times, always with the same result. I decided that from then on, if they left a keet behind, well, then, it sucked to be that keet. I'm not risking life and limb to try to save them anymore. And if one of the adults is sick or injured, well, they'll either recover or not, but there's nothing I can do about it. They're strictly wild birds that happen to live on our property. We provide them shelter and feed them through the winter and they eat ticks and grasshoppers all summer, so it's a good trade. But no, none of our cats, or our dogs, would ever THINK of crossing one of those birds. Hell, I've even seen them run off a fox. I'm sure it was a young fox, but they scared it bad, and it hightailed it out of the vicinity. Yeah, you don't mess with guineas.

@Lannie A friend of my husband's used to have a flock of guineas on his property. They would gather at the edge of the road, then when you, driving in your car, would get just about to them, the entire flock would run out into the road. They were kamikaze guineas. Repeatedly they'd scare me half to death. I'd have already slowed down, because I learned a little something from the last time they did this mess, but then, well, they wouldn't run out. So then I'd speed back up, and THEN they'd run out. :gaah:

They're either stupid as a rock or just plain suicidal. At any rate, I'd love to not be bothered by ticks. And stinkbugs. Do you think they'd eat stinkbugs?

I just placed my first online order for groceries to pick up outside Walmart. Will be interesting to see how this goes. I am supposed to pick them up between 6 and 7 pm today.

I guess that makes sense. There's been snow down here as late as April 15, although it never amounted to anything. The number of times I've seen a foot or more, in my entire life, I could count on my two hands.

We had 22" in our area in 2000, the deepest snow I've ever been in. Wasn't fun shoveling the driveway, but we got it done, but then the town's snow plows came through and left a 2-foot-deep pile of chunks between the end of the driveway and the street.

The most dangerous cold-weather storm I've seen was one that left 8" of solid ice all over everything. Power was off, it was so slick you couldn't even stand up on it. Stupid me went (slid) down to my car (parked at the street, we lived in town at the time) and couldn't get back up the hill to the house. Had to sit down and slide up backwards so I could jam my heels down into the ice and hold myself in place.

We Southerners can be real dumbasses in icy and deep-snowy precipitation. Speaking for myself only, of course. :D

@JuicyLucy you won't know what to do with yourself after your move! Talk about a drastic change!

When you are not prepared for it because it's not a normal occurrence, its horrible to deal with - and no one else knows what to do either

I'm sure I'll adapt, lol

Of course!

One of three white mods I own

Guess they got almost 2 feet in town

I think we should analyze the relationship between vape gear and personality.

What do JuicyLucy and The Cromwell have in common that they both like white mods? What does it say about me that I don't have one?

What does it mean if you like tall tanks instead of fat ones?

What does it mean if you like to fiddle-fart around with yer gear all the time? :giggle:

Just a few things we could talk about, if we ran out of everything else. :D

Maybe this post shows that I'm too much in my own head. Whaddayathink?

Sir, I can only surmise that that indicates you have a much higher level of whatever-personality-trait-it-is-that-makes-people-buy-white-mods.

That is my official diagnosis.

That I am a more boring person than Lucy?
Pink and purple mods clash with my toenail polish.
But not fond of painted attys/tanks. Just bare SS for me.
Painted attys get to looking like crap after a while.

I just placed my first online order for groceries to pick up outside Walmart. Will be interesting to see how this goes. I am supposed to pick them up between 6 and 7 pm today.

This Walmart deal is neat. On the way to town I got an e-mail telling me my order was ready. Had to get Walmart's grocery app on my phone so I could "check in," let them know I was on the way. Apparently their systems use GPS to tell them when I'd be there, because the young man was standing on the sidewalk with my groceries when I drove up. Had to sign the screen on his hand-held device, then he loaded the groceries into my car, I thanked him, and was on my way again. Spent less than 5 minutes at Walmart. Works for me and my anti-social personality. REALLY works for me and my limited mobility.

Yeah why I did not click on it.
I am still trying to get over hearing it many years ago.
Been thru the 12 step process and everything.

I think I'm gonna go watch a Bigfoot show or something, maybe the UFO show hubbs is watching, get that out of my head.

(I think my husband believes in UFOs. I've had to stop giving him shit about it. He's also convinced that Marty and what's-his-name Lagina are gonna find treasure at the bottom of that damn hole on Oak Island. Aargh!)

Let's see. left to right, my mods are: reddish-orange, black, metallic blue, wood grain, silver, silver, silver, green/gold, Mustang orange w/ black racing stripes. All tanks are silver. All mods and tanks were made in China. So, does this mean I am a diversionist and you are a white supremacist?
Painted attys get to looking like crap after a while.
So paint 'em again. One of my silver mods was black, painted at the factory, and it all rubbed off. My metallic blue mod was factory black and I painted it myself and it is still just fine.

Evening, Rich......how was your day on the homestead?
Evening Dale.

Let's see, start by taking out the garbage, then wire-brush some attachments to the antique KitchenAide, then move a shitload of compost to various mineral tubs in the garden, then sand that chicken cage floor/walls thingie, then sweep the shop, then ... (more boring crap). We did manage a thunderless thunderstorm with heavy showers and nasty downdraft winds, which put a stop to the garden work. Uh, so the easiest answer would have been, "Oh, pretty normal."
