Figure I will need to get out some Kanthal as I am not sure how well I could build in it with SS.

42% humidity is dry as heck here.
For the rest of the summer it will be at a low of 60%. Can't wait for the 90 deg/90%'s of summer.
Remember this is the first part of May, Crom. Later, when real summer gets here, we typically have mid and upper air flow from the south and the Great Plains have nothing (e.g., no mountains) to stop Texas gulf air from sweeping all the way up to Canada. With that comes high humidity, so those 90-105 degree days usually come with 80-90% humidity. Luckily, by the time July/August gets here, we have acclimatized to the heat and humidity. Then a couple months later, we get our first freeze and have a couple months to get used to that before the blizzards start. Yes, Dale, we have very weird weather all year, but it is a relatively cheap place to live.

OK, it's 5 hours from here to Miami, but I don't ever plan to go there. Will he come visit you, or will it always be your job to come back to visit him?
Prolly my job to fly...he has three children, would cost a small fortune. I'm not staying there permanently. I still have business in AZ, I'll be back and forth often.

Just some of it, i have to re-till part of it where some asshole tromped around in it trying to steal my trailer., but i am just about to that area. It has been so hot I only go out to work in it in the mornings and a little before dark. My health slowed me up some too.
I understand, Jimi...one day at a time.

Yep I am living the old saying of:
What I used to do all day now takes me all day to do.
And I do not have the bad problems that you do either.
I still have to paint the pergola, but with everything I need to move before painting, I know I need to recover from everything no already did before I can tackle it. Used to be, I could knock it out in just a couple hours.
I know all about the slowing down.

their property values went up too, since ours does not drag their property values down anymore.
This is another reason for living in the country. No matter what my neighbors do -- none of whom is even visible from my property -- it will never affect the value of my property. Now if someone were to buy the 100 acres next door to me and build a shopping mall, that might change things, but no one is going to do that given that there are no more than a couple hundred potential shoppers in a 40 mile radius of here.

Nothing like that around here unless ya got at least 3/4 of a million bucks to spend on land. Most of the land around here is agricultural.
