Need help choosing right coils

I'm trying to quit smoking and I figured vaping would be a good start. I've run into a problem, I bought SMOK Priv V8 mod with TFV8 Baby Beast and juice with high VG. The high VG juice seems to burn through my coils like nothing. I smoke a lot. I know that I'm hitting it too often and the cotton cant soak it up fast enough. So I guess my question is should I buy better coils that can keep up with my smoking or just buy juice with higher PG? Note: I bought 3 bottles of the crap not knowing what the hell I'm doing, smh.

I have never found VG to be hard on coils but some e-Liquids that container sweeteners do. I got the cuboid Tap with the Aries Tank and was wiping out coils in a day. Once I switched to an e-Liquid that is a fruit flavor I still have the same coil in it. It was a Strawberry Shortcake called Shorty and it is absolutely delicious but damn does it wipe out coils. Since I started using it with different liquids I have even raised the wattage. Good luck

As for coils.. with that mod you are pretty much limited to the baby beast M2 coils. Higher PG will thin your juice for better wicking. Hate to say it, but with that mod kit Smok is saying "Here, vape this. Don't like it, well to bad" It's kind of like buying the 'lite' internet package at 512k and trying to download movies. "ARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!"
Good news is, the baby beast will accept other coils. Bad news the Priv v8 won't power them properly.
So if increasing the PG to VG ratio doesn't work, you may have to bite the bulllet and buy a new regulated mod.
I am also curious as to how you are hitting your vape enough to dry the coils.. BB have huge juice holes. Maybe increase your nic/ml by 3 so you puff less often.

On the other hand, since the Priv V8 has a standard 510 thread, you can also buy an RDA, make your own (or use premade cois) and drip juice as needed. Just be sure to study ohms law to know what resistance you need to use. I believe that Priv V8 has a 3000mah /20A battery, so 0.20 ohm would be right at the CDR (constant discharge rate) of the battery) and as low as 0.15 ohm would be acceptable. (0.20 being recommended)

I appreciate the feedback, I think I will just buy another mod. Any suggestions so I don't screw up again?

you might want to consider getting a different tank for the pro color, it will work with other tanks. I would suggest the Cleito from aspire, its affordable and the coils last me a month or more no matter what juice I use in the tank.

I just purchased my 2nd Segelei Kaos Spectrum. 230w. The first one lasted 6 months but died when it got wet during a rain storm. The 2 things I like best are the 510 pin is really sturdy and the control buttons are far away from the tank, so it is harder to juice to leak inside. Plus the 6 color light is pretty damn cool.

It is a bit fancy, but segelei is top of the line quality. You may never need 230w but they are there for you if you do. (and they make STICKERS!!! to mod your mod. I have to get another "Punisher" sticker... it matches my Tshirt. lol

Is that cool or what?

PS Rather than buy a new atomizer as well, consider https://www.myvaporstore.com/Rebuildable-Atomizer-Head-for-SMOK-V8-Baby-Beast-p/sm-uatfv37.htm which is a rebuildable deck for the baby beast. That way, even if your favorite juice does gunk up your coils, you just change the wick, dry burn, rewick and vape on or replace your coils which you can make for less than 20 cents each.
I use ijoy rbta combo which is really awesome, but you already have the baby beast. Not to worry, members here can tell/show you how to make coils that do everything but sing and dance. lol

Warning.. Fasttech can be addictive and has been known to contribute to shinyitis...a condition which has you out at the mailbox everyday chanting "Precious? My precious??"
