need help with a coil build!!!

I made some clapton wire out of 28g for the core and 28 for the outside, I have a kayfun atomizer on a vamo v5, and I want my resistance right around 2.0 ohms, can someone help me?

thats not a good idea. its too much kanthal for the 28 gauge to heat.
If you wrapped 28 gauge in 32, that might be a better idea. Also, because the kanthal wrapped around the outside doesnt actually heat, the same ohms will be much much colder. Its something youre going to have to experiment with. I hope you have an ohm meter.

Seems like an awful lot of work just for a kayfun. Trouble with a kf is that it's limited in what you can get out from it. Of course, that's just my opinion. And there are a variety of kayfun versions now. But why not fit your hard work into an rda and get the most from it?

28g with 32g wrap a 2.8 diameter coil with 8 wish wraps I believe is about 2 ohms

Its going to take about 25 wraps if you want a 2 0hm and that's at 2.8mm dia

9 wraps 28 gauge on a 1/8" or 3mm rod/drill bit will bring you very close to 2 ohms. Try that if you can. 28 gauge is best for kayfuns in my opinion. And ive worked with a lot of them.

I agree with @tnumbers....When you make a clapton coil the way the electricity works is it only runs threw the inner wire and not the outer so you increase the mass of the coil without lowering the resistance. So the inner wire has to heat up the outer wire as well as the juice making the ramp up time much longer as well as the cool down time much longer, especially at higher resistance. making the coil that way helps put more juice on the coil but with the extended ramp up/cool down it burns threw more as well. I haven't made a 2.0 ohm clapton but I don't see how it would work well, especially with the gauges you're using...to get 2 ohms it would be a lot of wraps. also you have to remember the Kayfun chamber is quite small and there's not a lot of room for a huge coil...if all you have is 28 gauge you're better off just wrapping a 9-10 wrap coil around a 2.5-3 mm drill bit. IMHO you'd more likely be happy with the results than trying to jam a huge amount of clapton coil in that small of space.

That is an awful lot of wire to heat up.the ramp time on a 5amp device like the vamo is goint to be horrendous. Im not sure it will be able to. You may need one of the higher watt box mods like an ipv 2 or 3,something running at 20 amp output or better.
