Can't Seem To Win

Anybody have any ideas on this? First I thought it was my coils, but I tore a couple apart and the coil itself was black, but the wicking looked fine. On my Nautilus Mini and Aerotank. It seems like I don't even get through one tank and everything loses flavor or tastes/smells burnt. I know about vapers tongue, I am drinking more than enough water. I have been vaping for a bout a month now but have prior experience, (vaped for about a month, then stuff came up, went back to smoking two packs a day for 3 or 4 months, now back at vaping again, I have experience dripping etc but I had gotten rid of all my dripping stuff). I'm running them on my Istick, even at the lowest setting it will fire on these coils (5.2-5.6w) I get the same results. It's making it hard to keep vaping. I already have troubles tasting things as my pallet hasn't cleaned up, so there's few juices right now that appeal to me, then this stuff where I don't even get through half a tank and there's no flavor or a burnt flavor/scent. Or no matter the juice it has a kind of smarties (the candy) flavor.
I spend about two hours in a vehicle a night at work, that is when I vape at work. I don't know if I'd call it chain vaping. More sporadic. Vaping here and there, short hits etc. Not taxing the coils with high wattage or long draws. Then vaping on the way home and for a little while at home before hitting the sack. Not even a tank a day (mostly because of this flavor issue). I'm getting pretty frustrated quite honestly. Eventually I'll try dripping again etc. But I do like the convenience of a tank. So I'm trying to get this figured out.

Can't explain the burnt taste at such low wattage, but if you have experience with dripping why would you choose an aerotank?
Go back to dripping.

For the nautilus mini did you drip a couple drops of juice into the coil before you used it?

Seems half the questions here are either about the nautilus or the atlantis. I guess my next investment will be in some aspire products so that I know what everyone is talking about. Hope you figure out the problem, good luck and keep on vaping.

What is the PG/VG ratio of the E-Liquid you are using?

I'm going to go out on a whim here...start at the bottom and throw a few Ideas out and if none of them help well then I apologize in advance....

Usually it seems that all vapors sometime in their second month as their pallet heals go threw a period where everything just tastes bland and then sorts itself out...it lasts a couple days and then it's fine, it's weird but it just happens.

I've gone threw many bad Kanger/Aspire coils. Kanger especially there it seemed like their QC was severely lacking and if I wanted a good coil I had to wind it myself. It seems to have come back some with their new "contained" dual coil design but I still have had coils burn out in a day or two or come out of the package doa...I've had better luck with the 1.2 ohm coils than I have with the 1.5/2.0 ohm. Just my experience. Plus, with more sugary flavored vapes the sweetener seems to caramelize and clog the wicks up quicker...I vape a lot of desert vapes and I found that dry burning the coil (not completely but close,) everyday helped prolong the life of my Kanger coils greatly....they went from lasting less than a week to 2-3 weeks on average. I even got one to last a month. Another thing you can do is check/replace your o-rings. They can have a weak seal and look completely fine....another thing is to make sure that everything is tightening down straight. I told a story in another post that I had a Protank 2 that instantly burned everything and it turned out that the center post was crooked and not everything was lining up straight causing the coils not to feed properly. I don't know if the posts are still press fit or not but I know when I bought my Aerotank mega I went threw three or four coils before I got one that didnt taste burnt and I was sadly dissapointed with my Nautilus BDC coils as it seemed that I'd never get one to last more than two days. More often than not if you get one bad coil in a pack there will be several it seems. Downside to mass production. Don't give up...you'll get a good coil and a good vape. I have faith. I can think of more less likely things but I don't want to rant too long

I'm on day 12 of my new nauitlus mini, on my first coil and so far it's been nice and smooth with good flavor. but when my smoktech tanks gave me that burnt taste I would cover the two intake holes and suck a couple of time without pushing the fire button. Then I would uncover the holes push the fire button and suck then blow so vapor came out the air intake holes. After doing that the burnt taste would go away. I think the wicks sometime have a hard time wicking the juice.

I replied to a similar comment just above yours. I run 50-50 in my tanks. Once I get some funds I'll eventually get back into messing around with dripping. But other than cloud volume I didn't notice any amazing increase in flavor when I did it before.
