I vape around 15 watts with subohm, single coil setups and I've got a bunch of atties that do that very well. I use SS wire so I never get even close to an ohm, but my builds approach an ohm using Kanthal. If you want to vape at 5 watts there are atties out there that do that very well too with really low airflow.
These days, resistance is futile
I vape at less than 10 watts... but the only atomizer i've ever found that gives you really excellent saturated flavor and a REALLY tight draw is the Achilles. Other attys might offer what they THINK is tight draw... but it's really not. The only other atty with a good tight draw is an old-style KFL+, but the flavor is just absent, compared to the Achilles. If I had to go back to using my kayfuns, I'd have to go back up on flavoring percentage, from my current 24% to the original 31% and try to systematically reduce flavoring all over again.
My son vapes at 20w or less... but builds coils around .5 ohm... he uses an OBS Engine Nano, and he SAYS he's a MtL vaper, but i just can't see how, since that atty offers zero resistance in the draw, even when closed as much as possible.
The only up to date atty I've tried that says it's a MtL atty is the original Berserker. And yes, the draw is tight, but same as the Kayfun... no flavor... plus it leaks like a sieve. After that $30 wasted, I really don't feel like wasting anymore money, trying out new atomizers that claim to be the Second Coming.
