Hi everyone, can someone help me with a recipe for inawera custard, i mixed this at 3% 70 30 vg pg with a 3 day steep which i seen people saying this all it needs and i tried it for the first time today i wasnt happy because i didnt get this rich eggy creamy taste, to me it taste almost the same as the apple pie eliquids i used to buy before i started doing diy i dont know if steeping it longer will help or playing around with the percentages, i havent found a custard like the ones i used to buy from the shop such gracies custard which was creamy and by the description of the inawera it sounded the same but turned out nothing like the description for me so i am wanting to try add cream to this i mean its not a bad flavour i like it as a base but it doesnt vape like a custard for me, i got Cap custared v1 but i wanted something different , is there a cream out there that i could boost this flavour? I got shisha vanilla which i havent tried yet im sure someone said its good for boosting custards

If you want eggy, Inawera isn't the custard to use, at least not as a standalone. Try mixing it with the Caps vc v1 and let it sit for a week or two, may be closer to what you're after.
And welcome to VU!

Thank you i might try that and I found the more I vape this I'm starting to see the custard side more like a thick powder mixed custard a slight egg taste but not very eggy but just lacks cream more then anything for me it could do with some tweaking have you got a recommended percentage I could start at using Capella custard v1 to get me started then I can work my way up I have only ever mixed Capella custard standalone I never tried making my own so I'm not sure what it will be like mixing with other flavours or even at low %s if I'm honest thanks

I think I would start with 1% for a cream aspect, then work up from there as per your taste.

IMO, INW Custard isn’t great as a stand-alone. Better to use it in a recipe. Caps VCV1 would be better, but maybe take a look around for a developed custard recipe(like Game Over Custard). There are as many custard recipes as there are custard lovers out there! Good luck!

If you want to liven that particular custard up some you can add some creme brulee and/or caramel. While it will not make it eggy, it will give it some edge.

Grab FA Custard Premium while you’re at it.....my favorite custard to date.

Haha you might be able to help me with that I bought that FA custard premium couple months ago I mixed it at 3% left it for a month or so it didn't even taste of anything it was very light the taste I got off that was like them Haribo milk bottles you get in the super mix but honestly there wasn't much flavour at all couldn't really taste it

Really? Damn. It truly is my favorite one. Built quite a few recipes around the flavor. You don’t get buttery notes? Custardy notes? I haven’t used it above 2% yet. What set up are you using? I’ve used sub ohm tanks and rdas and just love it. You don’t even need to let it steep that long(the joys of FA!). I don’t vape it solo, since the tester, but for me, it really is a great custard. Are you a new vaper? Maybe your tastebuds haven’t quite recovered yet.

What a gemstone? Haha
It’s a recipe by Wayne Walker(DIYorDIE). For me, he’s a hit or miss, but this one is outta the park. He sells his one shots(so all you do is add the vg/pg/nic) at Chefs and ECX. Try it.....

FA custards are the only ones I like with Premium being the best. I use the normal one with all of my lemon vapes.

Hmmm, you just reminded me that I have about 10 ml of the one shot in the closet. I haven't vaped it in about 10 months.

I do use the others, but lately, the one I reach for is premium. It’s just so damn good! The butter!!! And the regular one is definitely great for lemony vapes.:ejuice:<3

Ye I always watch his videos I'm subscribed to him aswell I made his bronuts which I got a bitter taste off it needed sweetener putting in for me my brother loved it and I also made his strawberry cheesecake an when I was making it I knew I wouldn't be able to taste it straight away because anything I put strawberry ripe in just instantly mutes the recipe even at very low %s but I have only just found a strawberry I can actually taste and that's inawera shisha strawberry

Maybe it’s the coils. Smok coils have a not so great track record. I have a few Smok tanks and I can only vape fruity flavors out of them. Anything else tastes burnt or muted. Weird, huh? I just posted my favorite coffee vape and I have another one(Honeycomb Custard and Cookies) in the recipe section....both use Premium. Give it another shot in a different tank with different coils. Could make the difference.

I tried that one and thought it thoroughly foul. Subjective taste, eh?

Definitely. When I mixed it it smelled like chemical crap. I said there is no way this will be good, after two weeks of sitting, I could drink it.

I was going to ask if you had a recipe using the custard premium I will have to look at your recipe and try it, I'm not using the smok anymore I'm using my aqua reboot rta suppose to be one of the best rta for flavour which is why I bought it I could try it with that i might see a difference

I liked it for about 4 months then one day I thought it was horrible. I thought maybe it had gone bad. I'l mix up 10 ml soon and see how it tastes now. It's very interesting how my tastes are constantly shifting. In the last week none of my predominant lemon vapes are appealing and I've been vaping either new recipes or ones I haven't used in quite some time. I think a lot of us would be screwed if we weren't able to vary our flavors.

I thought Bronuts wasn't very good but I know it's the Cap CGD that I don't like. I've got the new FA Chocolate Donut on the way so I'll sub it for the CAP and give it a shot.

It's the INW Raspberry that can be very foul, imo. I've made great and horrible juices with it. I just got to the point where I prefer the Shisha Rasp.

I been looking at shisha raspberry what's it like? I haven't even had or got a raspberry concentrate yet but I want one

It's sweet, a bit tart and dry. Unlike the INW concentrate, I've yet to get the medicine flavor from it. I've found with all the raspberries, that less is best. My favorite flavors to mix it with are Lemon and Custard. I've got one recipe I've been vaping for almost a year and always have a big bottle of it in the closet.
