Is it safe to fire a .19 ohm dual coil

I have a sony VTC4 2100mAh 3.6V 30A Max
and i got a mech mod with dual coils that gives me .19 ohms, would it be ok to fire it with a single battery.

That depends on the age and status of the battery...and of course if it's an original Sony battery.

Mooch rated them 23A, your setup is 22A max at 4.2V and 19.5A at 3.7V so that should be fine.

But if I were you I'd make sure it's in a very good condition and not too old.
If you decide to use it, check it often if it gets hot. If the battery already surpassed its life cycle, 22A might be too much.

To be on the safe side, get a new battery like a VTC5a, a battery is just a few bucks and probably the most important part.

Welcome. None of the typical round cells we use for vaping are safe so, short answer, no, it is not safe.

Long answer, use Ohm's law to calculate how many amps your coil build will draw from the battery in a single battery mech mod. 4.2V divided by .19 ohms equals 22.1A so, because to those who ask how much is safe we always recommend to stay at or below the Continuous Discharge Rate (CDR) of the battery you are using, and because the CDR of the VTC4 is 23A according to Mooch's opinion based on his test results, yes you will be within the recommended safety limit that we consider a reasonable number to recommend to those who are still new to using a mech. But for reasons that should be obvious, this safety guideline is only one small part of what makes up "battery safety", especially on the mech. That's why I recommend you to read Mooch's blog:

Personally, I, have used the Sony VTC5A for a long time. But I upgraded to the Samsung 20S because, hands down, it beats the Sony VTC5A.
