What Happened to Tobacco Absolutes?

It's like they became illegal. I can't find them, for the most part, these days. Just wondering if anyone knows why they disappeared (relatively)? I was meaning to try more of them recently -- I learned of them a couple years back but got into NETs exclusively. But now they seem to be MIA.

I'm only guessing here, but I think it's fear of TPA for the EU and the FDA here in the states...

I don't know if you "DIY" but you can still find DIY tobacco absolutes here and there. An example
http://www.vaperstek.org/tobacco-absolute-virginia-wg/
I know Bull city flavors had them a while ago. Too lazy to check right now. I love the Cuban absolute at 1%.

I was checking recently for someone here who wanted to make an "authentic" tobacco flavor, and it appears that BCF has gotten rid of them. So vaperstek.org, or that place in Poland I used to shop for INW flavors, e-aromashop.com. Haven't checked ECX, they *might* have them.

I will be looking as well. I haven't checked diy vapor supply yet.

Edit: Looks like vaportek is the only seller in the States now.

My guess is since TA's are not "just" flavoring and often contain real tobacco; that might cause a problem for some sellers.

I bought a small vile from a perfume making site several years ago. Can’t remember the site. Almost black, thick, with a strong scent. Made some good juice. A quick google shows several essential oils and perfume component suppliers have it here in the states.

Thanks to all for the info. I very much suspect that the fact it has so much actual tobacco content is the reason, but of course I can't be sure. Im going to email BCV and ask.

5150 -- if you're asking me, I use 6 mg nic for my NETs, since i MTL them on smaller 28g coils. I love NETs...but been trying some new stuff to find that pot of gold flavor profile.

I have some River bottom fog sauce but it's all really high nic.
20mg and 16mg.

Have you ever tried any from here:
https://www.naturally-extracted-tobacco.com

When they stopped selling the river bottom i thought about going to that site next but never did.
Shorty after I changed my vaping style a little by switching to RTAs from Tanks and got out of NET's around the same time.

I have heard that heartland vapes has decent tobacco flavorings under their own brand name.
I have one that they don't sell any longer that's really good but I have never tried any of the other ones they have on their site now.

Edit: Link to make things easier.

Oh yes...Ive had several from RBFsauce and got quite a bit when they stopped selling it. It was a solid NET line. And yes ive ordered many times from naturallyextractedtobacco.com -- he's a great guy and offers so much selection. Truly the superstore of NETs in my opinion. Ive been lucky enough to be able to try many NETs from many vendors over the past 3-4 years. NET.com (mentioned above), vash's extracts, a couple forum user's homemade, myvapejuice, goodejuice, heather's heavenly, want2vape, mt oak vapors, vaperite, and one or two others I've forgotten.

I've always looked for a certain flavor profile for tobacco vape juice, I guess. That smell of fresh tobacco, smell of a freshly opened pack of cigarettes (no ash or burning, just the smell unlit), the smell of an unlit mild/medium cigar. It's pure deliciousness.

Most NETs are good -- Ive found some that come close. Vash's confederate, and others like NET.com and goodejuice.com's perique, accadian gold, etc. I sometimes would mix Vash's confederate with GEF's Perique and Accadian Gold for a very nice flavor profile that was the closest I've come to my goal.

Now I am working on trying all the tobacco flavorings that are popular these days -- flavorah, inawera, hangsen. So far Ive got a few hangsen flavors -- ive enjoyed hangsen's Desert Ship especially. Also trying stixxmixx's NETs.

I got some TA from Bulgaria a few years ago but found the black goo was not very tasty. The best tasting tobaccos are at www.realextracts.com in my opinion. I have since used the Real Tobacco Extracts exclusively. The 3x concentrates are very good - and the range of tobaccos is impressive including many cigars. I use the 3X at about 20% so I can make 150 ml from 30ml of concentrate.

Ah yes, and Ive had a couple bottles from realextracts.com , and also truebacco.com . Like Heather'sHV, i think truebacco adds some additives to the NET. I had a couple bottles from realextracts.com and they were good quality; i need to try some of their other offerings.

And BCV/BCF wrote me back already, as they are obviously an awesome vendor. Here is reply:

"We do not carry these products anymore because they are derived from Tobacco. I can't speak on why the others do not, but it might be that INW stopped making them I know that they stopped making Oriental Absolute in anything larger than 10mls I believe. We just do not sell anything made from tobacco including any flavoring that does."
