DIY salt recipes for pods

Ok, lately I find myself reaching for my pod mods more and more. Still using a couple squonkers and billet box clones, but the pods seem to work better for reducing my cravings - likely because I am using 48 and 50mg juice in the pods. Seems like I chain-vape a lot more when using my other devices with 6mg juice.

Anyway, all of my high-nic salt juice is purchased at a local B&M, while my 6mg juice is mostly DIY.

I have 100mg nic salt base in VG and would like to try and make some 50mg juice for my pods, but not sure if it is as simple as changing the nic strength from 6mg to 50mg in the recipe.

Are there any other considerations when mixing high-level nic salt juices?

I know that I could just mix up a small bottle of juice and try it, but figure I would at least ask first and see what others have experienced.

Thanks :)

I've not used a pod so don't know about the flavor percentages. Might try a mtl recipe percentage as a guide.

There is a few over on All The Flavors Search for Pod or Salt. Think you need to bump percentage a bit. Totals seem to range around 20.

I'll probably just take one of the simple custard recipes I currently mix at 6mg and bump the nic up to 25-30mg and see what it tastes like. I'm curious if raising the nic that high (or even higher) will have any noticeably negative effect on the flavor.

Are you saying that the flavor percentages need to increase a bit?

From what I know about salts and Nicotine an MG of freebase or saltnic is, 1MG is 1MG and that is a constant.

Do you have plenty of PG? I may be an oddball because I don't keep PG, I depend on the PG in my nicotine base - you will need high PG for good operation in pods, that's the only difference

Otherwise yep, crank up the nicotine - but try a lower nic % for your first mix to test your salt nicotine's smoothness (just a suggestion)

Flavoring % is subjective - I see some people say using nic salts makes you need to increase flavor %, but I havent seen the need to do that; same for pods, some say bump up flavor, but I think it depends on the user's preference. Less vapor, but it all goes straight to the tongue (lmao) imo

Yeah, I'll probably start with a simple recipe and try it as written - a small 10ml batch. If the flavor seems muted I may adjust up a few percentage points and go from there.

Thanks for the input :)
