Hi all,

I have a smoke stick v8, recently it started leaking quiet a bit, took it all apart and gave it a clean, when assembling noticed the 510 connector and the coil doesn't seem to be tightening properly just keep spinning.

Any ideas how to resolve this?

Sorry to hear that you are having issues. I've got one and if using factory coils check the coil at the bottom and see if the pos wire( little bit of wire sticking out) is sticking to far out and not letting your coil seat properly. There are some vids on YouTube about the same issue with factory coils. Hope this helps.

Thanks Chris, I will have a look. I was thinking it could be the thread (screw bit) coz it tightens then comes loos again, flippin annoying.

Yeah mine would leak with some of the factory coils. That little piece of wire doesn't let it sit right. I adjusted the wire a little and it seated correctly and didn't leak. I then got a rebuildable deck and started making my own coils. Didn't have that issue with the factory coils after that lol.

I've never had trouble with any of my Baby Beasts leaking. I have a tip for V8 Stick users. Try Vaporesso GT Mesh coils with it in your baby tank. They work awesome on tube mods. Super flavor and clouds and last longer than the M2 coils Smok makes for it. The Smok Baby Mesh coils work good too. But the Vaporesso ones are my favorite for performance and quality.

Haven't used my v8 in awhile. But will have to try those. Are they like or close to the wotofo mesh for the profile

Right guys thanks for all your responses and guidance. Took a pic to show you exactly what’s going on. As the coil screwed in the 510 connector but once screwed in tightly it comes loose again.

I would try a new coil first, every time I have had an issue with a SMOK talk 90% of the time a new coil fixes it.

Sounds like maybe the pressed in 510 has failed. Which means it's done for. Time for a new tank or setup.

Sorry about that thought the coil wasn't seating correctly causing leaks. After seeing your pics I'll agree with gadget about it seems the threads are stripped out.

The press thingy still works, tried it with my finger however as screwing in the coil its kind very rough and grindy turning.

Depends on what you like. When I decided to try vaping again I got the smok v8. Then I tried a few variable wattage box mods. I myself prefer flavor over clouds. Once I tried squonking, i haven't looked back.

If looking for something different than what you have there are some great people and deals in the hardware section on this forum. I've learned a lot on here and have dealt with a few on here.

If you plan on still using what you have you can just get a new tank. You would have to wait for one if ordered online or your local b&m should have baby beast tanks.

There's plenty of choices....
Freemax Fireluke Mesh
Horzontech Falcon
Uwell Crown 4
UForce T2
are a few....
What coil have you been using? Because if you get an atty that's better with higher wattages (in your case voltage), it might affect your run time on that 3000 Mah stick.
Vaping Insider has his best of 2018 sub ohm tanks divided by lower power, and higher power.

Freemax Fireluke Mesh is a great tank that works great on the V8 stick. I use that combo a lot. Really great coils for flavor with that one.
Thank you Sir, its just that before Christmas I got a fresh pack of M2 coils so going to look for the same tank, went to a local vape shop to see if they had any spares lying around but no joy. Very expensive in shops then online.

If your B&M sell smok gear and accessories. I would think that they sold baby beast tanks. As you said more expensive than online but you wouldn't have to wait on delivery. They are cheaper online and with the newer tanks coming out are getting a little cheaper.

Ok, I misunderstood or wasn't paying attention. Baby Beast is a good tank but t

I was going to say these might not be a good idea but stand corrected. I have a Falcon tank on a V8 stick right now. The M1 coil is working pretty good! I figured no way the .15 M-Triple would work well. It fires ok but you can tell it's underpowered. But the M1 is much better on the V8 and I'm going to keep trying it. I've yet to try any of the Mesh Pro coils other than the triple. But I bet their version of the singluar mesh coil would work decent. Thanks for posting these and making me think to try it.

yw :)
Using an underpowered mod for those I listed was a concern when I posted it. If you quote or read the whole thing, the very next line is a question which would tell what kind of power draw from the 3000mah unregulated mod, based on the coil. From there you could possibly extrapolate the coil for for one of the tanks I listed based on using that stick, like your already doing.

Since then they've stated what coils. And since they want to use that mod, and use those coils, only 1 thing to do. Get a tank that fits those coils, and there are many.
