Anything beats Kroger produce and meatsSure beats a Kroger tho......
Kinda wish we had decent farmers markets around here, but there really isn't many people growing anything if you don't have shade, the sun just fries everything.

It's hard to kill sweet potatoes I believe, everytime I look, there is another sprout popping up from a potato I missed....I think I'll have sweet potatoes forever now.Have you got any of those left? i run a few through my juicer and they were pretty tasty.
We have a lot of farmers markets here but it's hard to find one that you can trust to be truly organic.Sure beats a Kroger tho......

I hear that, I sometimes buy organic celery there in the winter but still soak it in organic white vinegar solution for an hourAnything beats Kroger produce and meats

Same here, I don't trust the big box stores, or any "food stores" for that matter.I hear that, I sometimes buy organic celery there in the winter but still soak it in organic white vinegar solution for an hour
I'll try that this weekend, never thought of that, but they are certainly full of juice.Run some of those through your juicer, very healthy drink
That's right, I know just exactly what comes out of my garden, might have a few bug bites but the bugs gotta eat tooSame here, I don't trust the big box stores, or any "food stores" for that matter.

they taste great and are full of nutrients.I'll try that this weekend, never thought of that, but they are certainly full of juice.
MMM that sounds delicious I like kiwis a lot and with anything you juice the nutrients go much deeper into your cells which is why I never use any questionable veggies for my juices If i ain't pretty sure they are true organics I never use them.I made a quick bag of carrots and a whole celery juice when I got home today. Then I tossed in a container of kiwis which beginning to get older-er, that really tasted delis....!
Good man, Jimi....we have certainly learned a lot the last few years.MMM that sounds delicious I like kiwis a lot and with anything you juice the nutrients go much deeper into your cells which is why I never use any questionable veggies for my juices If i ain't pretty sure they are true organics I never use them.

G'night Lucy, Dale, Rich, Don, and anyone else who drops in
Problem is, you would not have listened to that forecast of "how you would be today." None of us ever did. Your parents told you, your grandparents told you, your teachers and maybe even preachers told you. None of us "kids" listened because each of us was certain we were invincible and WE could conquer the world. My body is broken to hell today because I did not listen yesterday. And yet, today, now that I know what I did wrong and what the right way to live, eat, etc. is, the younger generation -- those who we wish to help so very much -- just are not listening to a bunch of old pharts who surely cannot be talking about THEM and their chosen lifestyles.if we would of known all this 15 to 20 years ago not only how we would be today
Your right, Rich....if someone told me 15yrs ago I shouldn't eat at Micky-D's, I'd prolly tell um to go fuck themselves.Problem is, you would not have listened to that forecast of "how you would be today." ) and dream that I would have acquired today's wisdom when I was young enough to use it instead of ruining this body by listening to all the false advertising and peer pressure.Problem is, you would not have listened to that forecast of "how you would be today." Once upon a time, I had a close friend who was exactly as you describe and I always argued the opposite position. He would say, time and again, "Why should you care if you have nothing to hide?" My answer, then and now: "My life is none of their fucking business unless I chose to share it. What you take from me without my permission is theft."I am amazed at how many complain of no privacy and use smartphones, etc and post every fart on FB or somesuch.
Like those who give up freedoms for supposed security then complain about being inspected at airports.
Fatherland security keeps on growing.
You should have followed up by asking some very personal questions of the one who had nothing to hide,,,Once upon a time, I had a close friend who was exactly as you describe and I always argued the opposite position. I knew him for a couple decades and he would have told me anything if I had bothered to ask. His only request was that I not tell his wife. I tried to tell him that if he kept letting google, microsoft, youtube, facebook, etc. steal his life, she could easily find everything he didn't want her to know. "Oh no, she'd never get on the computer to ask." ... bullshit...You should have followed up by asking some very personal questions of the one who had nothing to hide
I grew up with that philosophy too. To me, what you "see" on TV is in the same category as the gossip you hear. With Photoshop, I can show you a picture of yourself doing something you have never done and everyone else will believe it because I provided "photographic proof." I have seen the same videos on two different news stations and it is obvious they are manipulating the images. Don't believe that shit either. My father told me believe nothing you hear only only 1/2 of what you see.
With today's tech I would say only believe 1/10 of what you see online or TV.
Given that both sides of the aisle speak from their asses (and wallets), I am not so sure we don't already have that. The TV/computer says "I promise to do X" and the result is always "Y." Makes me ponder whether the Matrix might not already be real. How long till we elect virtual politicians?
