yep all good still crystal clear. I used clear glass bottles so I could tell. light is not an issue in a box in a deep freeze.
I fill 30 ml amber bottle for my out of freezer working nic.
I think Rossum has some about 6-7 yrs old, haven't heard him mention anything about it going bad either. I guess we were the guinea pigs in the nic experimentations. I remember when folks were wondering if it would last a year in the freezer. I really didn't know either, although I bought liters of the shit when we thought the hammer was coming down.

Stupid question but does the nic freeze?

3.5 years at the moment... first week of this coming June will mark four years for both Lannie and I (and I did 50 years of Camels), but I keep seeing these stupid anti-vaping ads on TV telling me this is all a lie and if you vape, you are 4 times more likely to start smoking. No, vaping got us to QUIT smoking.

Once the vaping of nicotine destroys your pre-frontal cortex you will not care :)[/QUOTE]

No, just stays really really cold....:teehee:.....I have all my nicotine with VG base, but it doesn't matter if its VG or PG.
Nope PG or VG don't actually freeze until around -50 or lower.
My nic is in PG and it still pours fine straight out of deep freeze.
But I let it warm up and shake it first, in case of any seperation.
VG now is like molasses in January straight out of the deep freeze.

Same here, shake shake after a few hours warming up, but no discoloration or taste difference even using 500ml bottles (opening-closing) and back in the freezer.

Remember when many folks were talking about their nicotine oxidizing?... they must not have kept it in the freezer, or it was shitty nic to begin with.

You mean I still have one of those? When I first started investigating this vaping stuff, I calculated that my Camels were the vape equivalent of 12 mg/mL nicotine (50 years of that, remember?). As a tootle puffer, I am now down to 3-5 mg and Lannie, as a cloud maker, is at 1 mg. I am not in the least concerned about nicotine.

I know I'd like to start with Game Over Custard. Vanilla Custard is my go to ADV and what I vape the most of and it seems that this one is pretty good. Next time I'm at jwill's place I'm going to try some of his.

I know it can. It's just getting it approved by my wife. She doesn't really get it. She's still asking when vaping is supposed to save money.
How much are cigarettes in the Houston area? About $60/carton? How many cartons did you smoke per month? The initial cost of a mod and tank are no more than a Zippo and an ashtray (all of which will last you many years). Compare that against about $10/month to make your own juice.

Too true. Also, to be honest, I'm a bit intimidated. There is soo much information out there I don't know where to start. I just need to take the time to do real research.

That probably comes from reading others' posts about the complex juices they are making and their desire to promote their own egos by telling you how difficult it is. Truth is, it will be as difficult or as simple as you choose to believe. If you get yourself some bottles with eyedroppers in them - I suggest 30mL minimum, 120 mL max... I typically use the middle ground: 60 mL. Say your recipe calls for 5% of some flavor. Do the math. What is 5% of 60 mL? Use a hypo/syringe and squirt 3 mL into that bottle. And you have decided to use 3 for nic? Now, you have decided you want a 50/50 mix of VG/PG, so how much space is left in that bottle? (54) and half of that is? Add 27 VG and 27 PG, shake it up and you are done. How hard was that?

Addition: Your flavors are likely in a PG base and you can get you nic in either, so you might want to calculate those against the totals, but honest, it really is not that important. What is important is that you create a flavor you like and it satisfies you.

Everyone on this thread has some particular recipe she or he likes best and most of us are more than willing to share. But it is entirely your decision.

Gotta agree with this 100%

It's not the rocket science many make it out to be

The biggest problem I see is people disregarding simple advice - which is buy the basics for one or two recipes you think you'll like, and mixing according to simple instructions

You don't need a scale, special bottles, blah blah blah

I once helped a person make their first DIY for $20 - they were spending way more than that weekly for juice

People go hog wild, buying tons of flavoring that sounds tastey, then realize they can't complete one single recipe because they are lacking ingredients, the ingredients they have are incompatible or they bought the wrong brands from what was recommended

It would cost you about $17 (plus shipping) to buy the starter flavors for GOC

VG, PG and nic vary, depending where you get it

Don't know what you are paying now for juice, but I could not afford to vape if I paid for retail commercial juice, even the cheap stuff

My ADV.
Cromwells Custard.
120 ml batch. If you want smaller do the math :)

4 ml Capella Vanilla Custard V1.
1.6 ml Capella Vanilla Whipped Cream
Nic to desired level.
A bit of the sweetener of your choice. I use 6 drops of Nu Naturals clear Nu Stevia liquid. Do not use grocery store Stevia.
then fill bottle with 50/50 PG/VG.

Shake well. Can be vape immediately but best if left to sit for 24 hours.
Long steep does not seem to make any difference.
Seems like last time I did the math a 120 ml bottle cost me under $2 to make.

$100 of DIY materials will last me at least a year.
I just use cheap syringes I get from Amazon for measuring (Duda Diesel)

My per month vaping consumables costs are < $20.
Diy materials, wire and cotton and figuring in battery amortization.

I survived going to dinner with wife and daughter at Olive Garden.

They still have the unlimited salad and breadsticks?
All I ever get there.

We were lucky with the coming snow there was a massive RidX run on at dollar General :)

I wonder how Dollar general gets past ADA access requirements.
No way in hell for anyone in a wheel chair to get around in there.
And here in Obese KY most patrons have trouble walking down the aisles.

Sounds really cool. WE don't get that round these parts..of course there's no ice in the air. Only in the freezer.

Just finished my paperwork a few minutes ago.....Damn what a LONG day.....swear I must have walked 20 miles, and then return home to type for 10 hours...........:zombie:

That does seem like a long day. My day was cake. Had to go to one of our theaters to get some tools I'd left in a locker, Dropped off my son for a Troop camp out (hope they aren't getting rained on like we are), and went to dinner with wife and daughter. Rest of the day was fiddling with coils in DR and watching trash TV.
