Need low wattage tank recommendations

Hi! I've been vaping for several years now, so I'm not new to it, but my mother is. She's had a vape for awhile (not sure which one, but she hates it) and is looking for something new. She is using it to wean her off cigarettes and doesn't love the heavier-hitting full size tanks like I do. She uses her current one on 7 watts and wants something that hits with a similar amount of power. I recommended that she get an AIO like a suorin air or even a juul for simplicity, but she wants to keep a traditional vape. Are there any tanks or mod/tank combod out there that are good for lower wattages with a softer hit?

The Vandy Vape Berserker Mini RTA is a great one if you're not afraid to build coils for it. Its primarily a MTL tank, low wattage and warm vape.

I think @AndriaD & @JuicyLucy might be able to direct you better. I would think an RDA would do alright as you can use them on low watts. Not sure which I'd suggest though as most can do low watts, more of a take your pick in aesthetics. As far as mods, well, figure a regulated would be in order. Not paid attention to the regulated market for about six months now. I squonk and use a mech. Was looking at a regulated squonker but remembered I could not use regulated devices any more. They'll be along to help. :)

Sadly, I don't know jack about new tanks that take cartridge coils - haven't used one in years

And like you, am mainly a mechanical squonker

Wish I could help :)

Same here; the last coils I ever bought were more than 4 1/2 yrs ago, for the T3S -- basically Protank coils. After that I got a Kayfun and haven't bought coils since then, not gonna waste my money like that. Achilles RDA ONLY, at 10w most of the time.

@Countrypami likes some of the Kanger kits quite a lot. Maybe one of the eLeaf Pico kits that comes with a Melo tank, that you can swap out coils easily.

Ahhhhhhh, a low wattage DL vaper... someone that speaks MY language.. hahaahah! :D
I would definitely recommend the Kanger Toptank or the Innokin iSub. Both are topfill, are designed more for low wattages, the coils are relatively cheap (I can usually find them 5/$8), and they are reliable. There's also this beauty I found for $10 recently that is a re-branded Kanger Toptank and performs perfectly. https://www.directvapor.com/vaporfi-volt-2-tank/

As for mods, check out the Gear page on my blog. I list several that I recommend for beginners... http://countrypami.blogspot.com/p/countrypamis-gear.html

Well if that isn't something? Three peas in a pod that understand each other, and can write to be understood by others. I must be in a good place. :)

I'm sorry for not realizing you both have been away from this style of vaping for a while. That's happens when a person gets preoccupied with a sundry assortment of things. Well, excuse me, think a body is going to rest.
