Good morning in here. It was a work weekend. They had a 131 car pile up in Nenah WI yesterday. It was so bad that the Lab facility refused to come to my work place. I took my time in my 29 mile drive to work.

ugh, one or maybe both cats pissed all over the futon yesterday. It was a huge spot too.
My son's cat has a fascination with urination. After the cats I currently exist with pass on (rainbow bridge) I'm not getting any more. I'm done! One is 16 and the twins are almost 10 years old.

Edit: corrected age on cat

I have a gas stove so at least I can cook- it is the furnace we worry about, and staying warm.
I live right on the shore of Lake Ontario and yes it can get bad here with Ice and flooding, but I am far enough away so no worries of that but my dock and part of the yard can be under water for months.
Yes lots of hot cocoa here - plus coffee = happy.
Now you know why I have all those mods- just in case of a power outage, no worries about vaping!
Come on down...Hell everybody else from NY is here...As long as you do not drive over 30mph regardless of the road or limit and stop in the middle of the roundabout all will be good.
Try and stay warm, keep the icebergs...

i get to take them to the vet Thursday and spend $300. Luckily I get my tax refund tomorrow.

Edit: They're both male and haven't been neutered yet. Plus do tests to make sure they're healthy. I'm gonna be upset if I spend all this money and then they keep pissing everywhere.

I would love the warm weather- looks beautiful-
someday

:inlove:

"Warm" weather is nice. Where Bob is, well, that can get quite a way beyond just "warm." Plus the critters, omg, the critters. Anything that slithers, hops, or buzzes, in abundance!

People from anywhere north of the state of Georgia get broiled down there in about 30 minutes. I got sun poisoning in Pensacola, out on the fishing bridge, in 45 minutes of full sun, and that's in NORTH Florida.

I like Florida in the winter time, up through March and April, then I'm ready to come back north again.

Problem is that once one of them has peed somewhere, then they all think that's the place they're supposed to pee.

You are correct, I would love to be able to split time cause June-Sept I don't want to be here.

I don't know which cat is guilty of pissing on my treadmill. I am at wits end with the critters. At least they haven't attacked furniture or carpeting yet. I have cat deterrent spray. It doesn't faze them at all. I disinfect and spray but its useless. My treadmill is in the basement so maybe they feel its a guilty pleasure to urinate on it.

You don't own cats. They own you. They do whatever the fuck they please wherever the fuck they want. Deterrent spays are useless. My cat's give me a fuck you look as they walk into the area that's just been sprayed.

Where's here?

I'm in SE Texas and today is near 70F alternating between Full sun and rain. Texas weather is schizophrenic.

Eastern WA state here. Fairly normal winter weather right now, but hopefully it warms up and we don't have a March cold snap like last year.

Tiki is snuggled up in her bed and blankets, I'm jealous. =)

Don't I know it! :) My cats will live forever just to piss me off. I love the little beasties but I'm tired of the shenanigans they offer at times.

Could be a lot of reasons for that. Physical, emotional, or simply because it's the colony effect...they tag their territorial areas that way. Esp. the males, which is why I've never had a male cat indoors..too much BS.

One male and two females in the house. All spayed/neutered. Nothing physical. The female that is 16 we think she has kitty dementia. The vets around here are not versed in cognitive dysfunction in cats.

That sucks. :(
I'm very fortunate to have a great veterinary team at the cat clinic here, we even send emails back and forth just chatting sometimes. :)

Tiki's doing well on her pills thus far and we have a follow-up appt. on the 4th to retest her levels...so optimistic. Still yowling sometimes for no good reason though. One hell of an alarm clock.

Still chilly here, high around 25-something with low near 10F. No new snow though thankfully. :)

However, Montana has a blizzard warning. The mountain areas could see 30+ inches. o_O

Stay safe folks!
I love Montana and north of there in Alberta. That's where I wish I could live in the summer. Down in the swamp in the winter, like....don't wanna be up there right now....roll in around June and duck the last of the heavy weather. Roll out in Oct.

Ya, plus cooking heats the place up....hehe.
I will, just being stubborn and comfy in the bedroom here where it's 75.

Plus, I'll need some fuel to walk over to Trader Joe's later for a few things, before it snows/rains in the next couple days.

Actually been looking for a cheap bicycle to ride again, but in this area it'll likely be stolen in minutes so not gonna spend $$ on a bike. Peeps carry boltcutters in their coats....or just steal the tools needed like cordless angle grinders.

We have one of the highest property crime rates in the country. Pretty much all drug-related. :(

Everybody's armed where I live. You try to steal someone's stuff, you take a chance of getting your ass handed back to you in pieces.

We keep guns in case of bears..and coyotes...and cougars...and rabid foxes...and aggressive, unknown dogs...and thieves.

Lot of legally armed mofos here too. Not as much for four legged wildlife but the two legged kind.

Hubbs and I learned a long time ago that we are not civilized enough to live in the city. Homeowner's association driving the Fascist-mobile around every day, telling people they can't park on their own fucking grass, got a damn letter one time telling me I needed to WEED THE FLOWER BED, no lie. In town you can't protect your own property, can't do a damn thing without someone's permission. We bought some land and can't even see any neighbors. Gotta be armed out here, though, in case of whatever-kind-of-critters.

One day we'll do that. In fact we already have the land. We live in the burbs, in a subdivision with a comparatively lax HOA and I find it easier to mind my own fucking business than to worry whether someone else's flower beds are up to mu standard. If they don't like mine they can fucking pay for the landscaper.

I was born in western North Carolina, from a long line of folks with one leg longer than the other from walking on the sides of hills. :) Think I have just enough hillbilly left in me that I don't want anybody telling me what I can and can't do on my own land. I got to the point that the more the HOA talked, the more I just wanted to buy a worn out couch and a 1955 Norge refrigerator and put them out on the front porch. Put a few cars up on blocks and let the grass grow ass high. Yeah, that's it. Looking good to me. Kiss my ass and get happy.
