You want to know the real truth why would you use fake cotton? ask yourself that? people try it use it cause you get this huge box for like 10.99
and it will catch fire on low ohm builds so quick its funny I can post my demo if you want... get cotton and stay away from that chemically treated fake cotton
IMHO

I disagree as a rayon user. I've never had it catch fire on low ohm builds either.

Both cellucotton and regular cotton catch fire and turn to dust the same way. (If you can make it through pbusardo's video long enough to see them burn you can see for yourself)
And if you are vaping with a dry wick with zero juice you are just doing it all wrong. (insert insurance commercial lady posting pic to her living room wall)

Both cellucotton and regular cotton start as a cellulose plant matter.

We all have the right to our opinions, some like it, some don't. But to say something catches on fire implying the other doesn't?

Well I got a 3lbs box at sallys So far I like that I instantly have better flavor. I also know that both cotton and rayon will catch fire in an instant if not wet. Thats not shocking. As far as chemically treated. I live in cotton country. Does organic cotton mean NON Pesticide treated while growing. If not I darn sure would be concerned about the pesticides used in growing cotton. And it may mean no pesticides but I highly doubt it in most cases. But I am no cotton wiz....

Looks like they are carrying the 3lb box now. I was just there about a week and a half ago and could only get the small box in cotton. I had to buy the large box to get Rayon.

I have had no issue's with Rayon what so ever. I have used Ko Gen Do, Muji, CVS cotton and Rayon, the Rayon is one of the easier ones to work with and the flavor and wicking are great.

I'm too lazy to go out to the garage to check, but isn't the 3lb box the on with 500 feet (aka a lifetime supply) of rayon? Yes you do have to be careful not to get the cotton by mistake - the boxes are the same color and called the same thing! And, yes, you can't dry burn either cotton or rayon:p

Going to say yes on that Amanda, I have the box here but not seeing a weight on it. Heck I'm half blind anyway so if it was in front of me I wouldn't see it LOL.

Been exclusively using rayon for almost a year and still love it as much as the first time I tried it.
Absolutely zero issues using rayon as a wicking medium.
And as already said, no need to boil.

another vote from me for rayon, seems to wick much better/quicker than cotton not to mention providing better flavor.

Sheesh that stuff would leave bits all over your bum! I once tried it to remove makeup, and it was a godawful shreddy mess LOL

But it's the best wicking material I've used:p

what if I did seriously get a contaminated batch ?

i guess it's possible, i have noticed a 'chemical-ish' taste on rare occasions which i have attributed to a dry hit (i use only 100% vg juice). make sure those wicks are/stay saturated w/juice

It's not plastic.. it's just a strip of paper.. the 'reinforced' kind - its the same exact thing (which I bought by mistake) - just gotta remove it and its all good

I've switched to the jap cotton but i still have a 500ft box of cellucotton barely touched.. the jap cotton gets gunked up pretty quick, but still tastes okay.. the cellucotton will go for another 1-2 5ml tanks before that thing is gunked.. plus the jap cotton takes a little bit to break in where the cellu has no weird taste at all.. I like both for different reasons

Thank you all for turning me to rayon. I was using 2mm silica wick until I saw this. The only bad thing is I just got a spool ( 530meters) of 2mm silica wick in 3 weeks ago.

The finger thick rope, perfect for wicking, just cut it in half and stuff it in your coil....... And I sprayed Raid on my screen.
