Tooth extraction and vaping

Well it was time to have a tooth in the very back removed. I was curious if anyone else has had this done and if or when it's safe to vape again?

I had the op done 4 hours ago. Not numb anymore, kept gauze over the hole and took a few huffs from my rda. I did not hit it like we all have with a cig, I always straight to lung like a b*ng rip.

I am just deathly scared of dry socket, still have to work tmrw and I'm going to need a nic fix while at work lol

I carefully vaped the last extraction I had. Not the self extraction I planned. Found out I'm a pussy the hard way. If you decide to vape just be easy. Maybe half a lung hit. But bx10r is correct. The socket job is so not worth it. He's in the dental field and probably sees more horror stories of teeth than we could ever imagine

That damn ligament is tough. I see why the novacaine is needed. I don't even think moonshine would stop that pain. Plus alcohol shrinks the gums I believe. I may be wrong on that one

Ahaha I was just getting ready say, that back in the ol days when I had a tooth pulled I smoked marlboros through my nose. What a hit though felt so good. Haha I'm not about to try hitting my vape at 0.09ohms I'll wait the 3+days

I had a rear one pulled in Feb. it was a worn out, broken and infected, root canal from the early 80's.
I vaped as soon as I got in the truck. but, take LIGHT draws. I didn't have any problems.

Now 6 hours in, I haven't tried to vape since earlier. I'm on the phone and this spongy thing fell out of the hole. Boy I sure hope I didn't lose a blood clot. Their is zero pain or bleeding but I'm freaking out because A no pain meds other than 800mg ibprophin & I have to be at work at 6am. I haven't eaten yet and now I lost my appetite worried I'm going to have this monster they call "dry socket".

Not sure on that one man. I'd say maybe a pice of guaze if you have one but at the same time I'd wonder if it would stick. Of course you could wet it to loosen it. Good luck man. I feel your pain. Seriously my dental genetics suck.

I'm not very excited about it.

I've had a superbug before from surgery so i'm prone to infection.
It's not that i'm "prone" to infection, i'm just paranoid as hell now since I damn near died from one.

I have "pre med" which is to take four amoxicillin an hour before I go to the dentist.

That makes me already feel like shit before the dentist even gets started.

Sounds like some packing, you'll KNOW if it's the blood-clot - between the mess and the flavor. IIRC, I kept poking that shit back up with my tongue - hell, the gap felt weird anyway, but it was a vast improvement over the huge infection I had. You certainly should be on antibiotics as well.

I did cheat: I've still a fistful of those tiny opioid pills they gave me when they replaced my hip in MI about.. 7 years ago? (Those morons expected me to snack them down like tik-taks or throw them out!)

Antibiotics do expire but pain meds don't.

I vaped after a tooth extraction a few years ago, didn't have a problem. I also put three drops in Iodine under my tongue every morning to prevent an infection. Still taking a couple drops of iodine every day, I've yet to catch a cold or flu, or anything for that matter. Used to be the only antibiotic available, now it's considered irrelevant in our corrupt big pharma world.

I did that when i had wisdom teeth pulled. Camel lights through my nose(back in 2004). Wasnt fun but damn i needed my nicotine.

Dental infection sucks but dry socket imo is much worse. Had it once and the dentist had to open it back up with a metal pick to get a new clot to form. Percocet was a good friend for a few days. Only a few days as I liked them maybe too much.

There is this slimy substance at the extraction so it's safe to say I'm fine
Took an ibuprofen before I got to work just incase.

I an 63 years old and have been through a lot with teeth. I even once had to pull one of my own (was poor at the time and no insurance). I smoked after every extraction but was careful how i inhaled (covered the hole with my tongue). I am not saying you should try this. Just letting you know what I did. I have not lost any teeth since i started vaping, so i do not know anything for sure about that.

Day 2, no problems.
Still vaping, but a lot less and shorter hits.
Plus with a comp lyfe bd24 deck and the new 24mm cap airflow is not restrictive so pulls are not as hard as say with a goon, or smaller airflow rda... etc etc.

Since I'm not vaping as much u also took some time to clean and rewick some of my RDAs. Stick new coils in the CL deck.

My juice tends to turn the cotton caramel colored after 2 day use and no longer wicks the juice right. So maintaining the rda is priority.
