Hey guys,
Been vaping and building for years but up to now, have stayed well clear of mech mods, just mainly because I am overcautious and don't trust myself. However I love the Profile RDA and am tempted by the new dual mesh Slatra. When looking into it there is a REALLY nice looking mech mod (the Arcless) that comes in a kit with it and appearance wise, i want it! So considering having a dabble into mechs, if even just to see what the fuss is about. I know the very basics for Ohms law, battery safety etc and being overcautious, I would also double and triple check everything on SteamEngine first anyway.
My question however is more about the power. So the Slatra RDA comes with mesh options of 0.26, 0.22 and 0.13 (SINGLE) so halfing that for dual would be as below and using Molicell's 21700 battery as a guide, this is what Steam Engine works out the rough equivilant wattage:
0.13 - 136w
0.11 - 160w
0.06 - 293w
Obviously wouldnt even consider the last one even though I find it odd they include something thats going to be that low especially since its sold as to be used on a mech, better hope nobody who doesnt know what they are doing puts those coils in by mistake!!! But even the first 2 seem really high to me!? I know using the mech on other RDAs you could just build up the ohms a little and it would be fine but this is how this is being sold... like wtf?? Am I missing something? Especially using mesh, doesnt seem like the Watts are correct, seems way too powerful considering all the reviews say I wouldnt vape the Slatra any higher than about 110w give or take.
Only thing i can think of is I overestimated the voltage, I was being safe on S.E and saying it would be 4.2v which showed as 32.3A whereas if I work it out based on the Amps instead, and use Mooch's rating of 30, it updates to the following:
0.13 - 117w (knocks V to 3.9)
0.11 - 99w (knocks V to 3.3)
0.06 - 54w (knocks V to 1.9)
Feels like Im working something out wrong. I havent actually bought this yet btw, I want to make sure I can understand everything first before i bite the bullet, might well still just say its not for me but its got me curious so i thought I would ask
