So, I posted about my good fortune winning ejuice from Kidney Puncher on Mod Envy, again, props to all involved and a big thank you.

Now, I don't use my dripper much since it eats juice, and I've only gone down to .6, so not very aggressive. My question is two fold. First, if I wrap my typical kayfun build at 1.2 ohms, my dripper will naturally burn less juice since it is putting out less wattage, that's my assumption at least. Now, to test flavors, not looking for clouds, will 1.2 ohms be better, and I know it will fire fine, but will an rda do well that high. Again, going for flavor testing, and trying to use up as little as possible.

Next I won't do this for the flavor testing, but I do want to build my first dual coil, and aside from matching the ohms, and dividing by two to get the desired resistance, my concern is in how you accurately read each coil, since they'll be attached to my Igo, at least that's the only way I can think to do it. I'm guessing I build one coil, and test that, then build as identical as possible wrapping etc... for the second one, and if my ohms read half of my first, I'm good? I can build 1.2 ohms almost perfectly every time at this point, so I'm guessing what I asked should work, and if it reads .6 after I've wrapped and read ohms with coil two I'm good. Also, what happens if your coils don't match ohms perfectly?

Any answers or suggestions for both questions are much appreciated, mainly on the dual coil, since I'm pretty confident in my flavor testing build. I just have a desire to step up my game a bit, so to speak, and the only thing preventing me from dual coiling is matching ohms accurately between coils.

You have the right idea! Just make two identical coils with same diameter and number of wraps. When installing them make sure they're both at the same height and same leg lengths.

Beware! It may work out so well that single coils will no longer be enough to satisfy!

Thanks! I thought that was the way to go, I'm still a bit wary of it, though. Seems like I'd fuck it up, but I thought the same thing when I first started building, and I nailed it on the first try. It was far from perfect, and at 2.8 ohms, but it vaped well for a week. I need to just buck up and do it.

Yeah, I waited a good while before doing my first build attempt on a dripper atty but it came out one first try too. Right at 2.0 ohms I think it was, and there was no going back to nova style tanks.

Honestly the worst part is learning to wrap the coils consistently.

I can wrap 1.2 ohms almost always, I'm just scared of dual coiling. Don't know why, I just need to do it. I will this weekend.

Your juice reserves better be scared too!

Don't forget to show off the build when you get it finished.

Just built my first dual coil to .6 ohms on my igo w. Still not huge on drippers, but it sure does perform with my brand new VTC5. I just did a complete disassembly and scrub down with bar keepers friend on my Akuma, so it's hitting hard. I'll post some pics once I get em uploaded.
