Has anyone found a place that sell's a reasonably prices 4" blunt tip Luer Lock in 12 or 14 ga? I can find the regular slip on kind that you can get for doing ink jet refills but cant find a reasonably priced Luer Lock so I can use different size syringes that I already have. The only one's I have been able to find are in the $50 plus range for a single blunt tip.

I make up premix in 240ml bottles and when it starts getting low I have to transfer it over to smaller bottles and was trying to avoid doing that if I didn't have to.

I bet @RocketPuppy might know. how long does 240 mls last for you ? If it takes awhile to get through that much it might be better to step down as you go just to help keep all that O2 out of it but if it goes pretty fast I could see your frustration. there is a list around here also with a few different places to get supplies. have you tried ebay or something ?

You might consider doing what I did. I took a marinating needle and cut it down removing the bevel and the opening towards the end of it. Then a little smoothing with a round needle file to remove nicks and burrs and it was good to go! :)

These needles are larger than 14 gauge to boot so it even works better with thick liquids.

I have been looking at those, was hoping to find something that would have allowed me to use the syringes that I had on hand but facts are facts and I believe I am going to have to compromise on this one LOL.

I actually seen one of these the other day while at the grocery store, they called it a flavor injector. almost bought it but I already have some big giant blunt plastic needles I bought in the medicine section at walmart. they numbers stay forever. I have been mixing by weight now to so I got this big squeeze bottle for my VG/PG base. they only thing I use a syringe for is nic or if I am testing flavors in small batches then I use a syinge for the PG and nic. VG still is a squeeze bottle. so easy and dont have very much clean up afterwards.

While this may not be true of all the marinating needles out there, at least some of them utilize the same luer lock mechanism as used on regular syringes. I use one with my 20 cc luer lock syringe to mix up nic.

I was wondering if those mustard/ketchup squeeze bottles would work okay for this or not ... I haven't tried it yet but I'm tempted! :)

I've seen the clear ones at Walmart.

I bought one at Walmart but haven't used it yet. I believe the side dispensing bottles would allow someone more control. We use them when mixing up the chems for doing fiberglass work. The ones I linked to aren't true bottom feed so I will have to keep looking around until I can find them.

I bought my squeezy bottles (with the red tips) from Joanne's in the baking section. But, the tips are a bit big for pouring careful amounts of PG (I mix by weight) because the PG can pour out too quickly.

I sent in a request to find out if these bottles are bottom feed. They also offer these bottles that you can see in the image are a bottom feed. Once I hear back if they confirm then I will order a few of them.

I am looking for the 250ml size bottles in order to keep the size down. They offer them in 500ml but when it comes to that I can bulk some out of my main containers into the smaller squeeze bottles for convenience.

Once I hear back I will post on here in case others are interested in them as well. Shipping to me is around $5.50 for one bottle and $1.20 for each additional.

The first bottles sure look like they are bottom fed.

Yes they do however the ones on Amazon look that way also but they aren't so I am confirming before buying. I think they used a stock photo on Amazon of a bottom feed but when you read the reviews they aren't so I figured better safe than sorry.

Another place to look for bottles, containers and such....

www.usplastics.com
My glass bottles, I buy from amazon, and I have bought pipettes and such there too.
If you use syringes, a vet supply place usually has them by the box too. Lots cheaper to buy a box as opposed to buying singles.

Thanks Pete, I think those may be some that my wife has ordered and are shipping in. I didn't see the Luer lock on them until I looked closer so maybe I have some on the way and didn't know it. LOL.

My wife got a kit used for refilling ink cartridges today and yes the 4" blunt tip needles that came with it are Luer Lock. I still plan to order the bottles in a couple days.

Still looking around for the bottom feed bottles. I got a response back from one of the sites and they said you had to tip the bottles. I haven't given up yet.
