As the title says I'm super excited to be here and starting DIY. And I promise that will be the last time I use "Yoda speaking" lol...
This is my first post on VU (technically 2nd) or any vaping forum for that matter. A little about me, well I've been smoking for about 27 years and for the past couple of years have really started to feel the effects of what smoking has done to me. About a year or so ago I decided I needed to quit to save my life. I went out and bought an Ego C twist a Pro Tank 2 and some e juice. I was amazed at all the flavors, vanilla this, strawberry that, mountain dew etc etc. Well probably by the end of that same day those flavors really didnt taste like I thought they would. So I just stuck with smoking. Occasionally I would pick the Ego back up but never stuck with it. So on Oct 1 2014 I decided I gotta quit for real, I was smoking 30 cigs a day, could barely walk up my stairs or walk my dogs. I went to a vape shop got the harshest menthol they had (I dont smoke menthol cigarettes just needed the throat hit) and set my goal to quit. Still didnt like it to much but within 2 weeks I was down to 20 cigs a day. My son got a job in a vape shop and in the beginning of November told me I should try a mod and a dripper so I bought a clone mod and an RDA and that started helping a lot. buy the end of November I was down to 10 cigs a day. The only bad thing was that I was vaping tons of liquid and was costing as much as smoking. So to make a long story short, as of today I'm down to 2 cigs a day and I feel like my lungs are 10 years younger. My main problem now is I cant find an eJuice that is an ADV for me, and buying tons of different juices was costing way to much. Thats when I used google to find out how to make my own juice and it led me here.
I've been lurking and reading for about 2 weeks, I picked like 5 recipes that sounded like I might like them and placed and order with BCV. Today I got my order of my PG, VG, Vaperstek 100 mg nicotine, some syringes, bottles and as many flavors that they had that the 5 recipes called for. I went to ecigexpress for the other flavors that I needed, but unfortunately I forgot to finish proceeding all the way through my cart so that order never shipped... lol... hope I can make something with the flavors I got from BCV until I can get the others from ecigexpress.
I know there is lots of drama going on about people posting and profiting from others recipes and I really feel for you. I can only imagine the time and money it takes you all to come up with your recipes. I really do thank you for what you've done and hopefully continue to do. And not to be to sappy or dorky, I think you are going to help me save my life and many others as well.
