Ok. Fight recap slash aftermath. I'm going to start with the aftermath. Broken knuckle and 8 stiches.

I fought around 7 local time. In the first round he got off a couple really good shots and ended up cutting me about halfway through the round (I think) towards the end of the first round I knew I was losing and tries to make an impression. Got of a great series of punches but ended up with a broken hand (right)

Second round we went back and forth a few times and I am pretty confident I won the second round.

Third round. he came out with a really good kick. Then we traded and a manage to get a good right hand straight on the button and he went to sleep

I won a very very hard fought (the guy did an amazing job) battle via 3rd round knock out at the 3:55 mark
Woohoo!!!! Congrats! Heal well. :)

You're going to have to give that hand a good 6 to 8 weeks off, right? But what about work? I'm guessing you can't miss work for that long.

Pain is all in your head....physical pain anyway. Just gotta deal with it as long as it takes. I scored the knock out with the broken hand.

I'll won't be able to fight again for 6 weeks but I'll be back to work Monday and I'll be back in the gym in less that a month. (I'll have to get a brace) but I'll live

our friend who flounced out of this thread is making even more "friends" there, it appears.
Didn't expect it to be different. I'm perusing now just because I feel left out of the discussion here and it annoys me

Congrats. Where you fighting? I tried doing some googling but couldn't locate the fight to see if there were any updates or streaming.

It's a local show my friend...not even on the local TV circuit. I almost didn't take the fight because I couldn't find anything on the company in the first place.

Alot of people think professional fighters are big time. Ufc is big time. I'm not there yet. Alot of people don't believe my fighting because I don't have a lot of proof (videos, webistes, etc)

I don't understand it but I kind of get it...I bred skateboarders. lol Broken jaw, a groin injury that had male doctors visibly cringing, Didn't matter. They couldn't WAIT to get back on the board.

Most people dont. It's hard to understand someone else's passion. I do appreciate the fact that you get it though

You have now

In a fight, you can find a thousand reasons to give up, but if you can find one reason to get up. One reason to stay in the fire, you can not lose- Chael P. Sonnen

i would use any one of those thousand reasons to give up. just sayin'.

99 percent of the world would. And I have tough about it countless times.

Then I focus on my team and all of the hard work that not only i, but they also put in for me. I can't give up. I don't have it in me

That's fucked up.
Yup, to say the least. I put the thing in my pocket prior to walking up but they saw me and figured I was armed.
Well, I am armed damn it. But my piece was inside in a locked briefcase that I usually forget the combination for.
I actually cracked up laughing as I raised my hands and said "Hands up, don't shoot".
But it wasn't funny.
Like I told internal review later, next time I'll cross my arms and watch my bud break the other guy in two or maybe do it myself.
It's getting to where one can't even shoot the shit outside anymore.

indeed. and have you ever noticed that even tho a dog's sense of smell is like a thousand times better than ours, they never seem to notice them? View attachment 13122
The husky we had used to let one rip and then casually stand up and walk away and then nonchalantly lay down across the room.

She used to dig frogs out of the ground at our house (husky's are damn good hunters) and hers were the worst!

We always braced ourselves because they have a film on their skin as a defence that would make her get like sticky saliva so she would always be slopping around her mouth for at least 30 minutes after.

Just beware, my current status has a lot to do with mountain bike racing accidents. When I was 22 I went down and twisted my back around real bad. Put in another 10 miles to finish and then the next day freaked because I was paralyzed from the waist down. Fortunately it was just a ruptured disk, but it was pressing on my sciatic nerve enough that it really screwed with my legs for a while.

Led to a complete ejection of the disk into my spine cord canal 20 years later which gave me the spinal cord injury I live with today.

Top that all off with all the concussions from accidents, football and getting kicked in the head a few times as a soccer goalie, and well Post-Concussive Syndrome is one of the dozen diagnosis I currently live with.
