Doggie doggie doggie! I too am too sad for pants. Our beautiful forest acreage up north is being totally threatened by a 60,000 acre wildfire. It’s come within a mile over the weekend, now again from another direction. Very few resources on it as it is all forest service around, no structures. Ours is the only private property for miles and miles, also undeveloped. Hubby went up to check on it, then into nearest town, where his Jeep, 16 yrs old, finally died it’s final death. (he’s rebuilt it several times but this is catastrophic. He was 300 miles from home. Got towed to sis-in-laws and is 100 miles from home but AAA won’t cover any more mileage. It has been a totally sucky week, watching a fire map constantly. Road in to our place has burned (hubby drove through fire on roadside coming out) and we couldn’t get back in even if we wanted to.

jeeps and shit can be replaced...you, hubby and the rest of your kin can’t.
be smart and safe.
take a long weekend trip to somewhere not on fire.

In Northern California it’s hard to find a place not on fire. We are a bit more hopeful as it looks like the edge of the fire near us hasn’t advanced. Fingers, toes and eyes crossed...

Good night knuckles

Every day is exactly the same. Except when they change, then they are different. And sometimes go back to normal. And sometimes don't.

Yes, the name and dates change, but they are essentially the same.
Our choice is to apply the attitude/perspective.

I don’t know about Huddy though.

you have doubts about my fierceness?

this morning the temp. Was in the 50’s. Going to warm up to upper 90’s this weekend then cool to a high of 60ish on Tuesday with a low in the 40’s and possible wind chill in the 30’s.
no wonder my sinuses hurt.

Fierce sinuses? Did you remember to remove your mask after two hours?

are these two paragraphs related?

tolerating 40s and 30s degrees is pretty fierce
