Sub Ohm Tank question

Alright, I'm new to this site. My question is, what Sub Ohm tank has the best flavor, and also has the most common coil that can be found in store or online. This is a question for a 56 year old who is trying to quit smoking cigaretts.

Thanks in advance.

Update: I never thought I would get a reply, so Thank you all for the help, it is so appreciated. I will let my Step Father know about all of these ideas. So thank you fellow vapers. Have a safe Holiday.

I'm not the best guy to ask about subohm tanks and coils, but welcome to VU :)

Do you have any experience with vaping at all and if so, what kind of equipment was it with and what did you like and or wish was better about it?

Too hot, not hot enough, plenty of nicotine, not enough etc?

There are so many products out there, it will help people help you if they know some basic info about your experience with vaping or lack thereof.

Yes been vaping since 2015. I graduated to RDAs about 3 years ago. So I have no clue about Sub Ohms now. Right now I'm rocking the Squid Industries Double Barrel v3. With the Dead Rabbit v2. Running a pair of Fused Claptons at .15ohms.
I love my setup. Good flavor.

As for my Step Father, he's currently a heavy smoker, his doctor told him to quit the butts or he could have heart attack number 3. So I'm looking for a mod thats fairly simple. With not too many functions. And any good flavored sub ohm.

I've been vaping since 2014 and am in my 60's with dead taste buds. Tried a ton of sub ohm setups. My favorite is the Uwell Crown III. Great flavor. Push in coils and the tanks are always on sale somewhere for cheap. Coils last a while .They have 0.2, 0.4, 0.5 and a mesh coil. Personally I like the 0.4 for flavor. The mesh is good with thicker juice. Hope this helps.

Has he tried your setup? And if so does he like it?

He tried it a couple times and coughed. But that was my mistake giving it to him at 73w. I'll talk to him more about it, but I'm going to tell him about the Zlide kit. It seems pretty easy to use. But thank everyone for their input. I really do appreciate it.
Hi  Welcome to the Forum

I have ran into many smokers who have trouble with coughing with DTL setups.
The Zlide Kit looks like a great choice.
it looks fairly easy to use and it may help solve the coughing issue as well since it looks no where near as airy as a Dead Rabbit V2.
I hope this does the trick and gets your step father off of the cigarettes.

Yeah, I'll be seeing him on Thanksgiving so we'll talk then. I hope you have a happy, and safe Thanksgiving yourself.

Still vaping like it's 2016....

Tobeco Super Tank Mini or regular Super Tank
(rare find "Nano" tank also in photo)
E648AA6A-2312-4846-8990-A678E4626390.jpeg

uses Aspire Atlantis or Tobeco coils
I'm not sure about availability at vape shops, but web site availability is widespread.

check out this page for sub-ohm tanks that use Atlantis style coils
Also might give you some ideas about tanks

best of luck
I smoked and vaped for a while after discovering vaping, but these tanks helped me quit smoking 8/15/2017. (57 yo)

Interesting. When I looked for my fist vaping hw I didn't think cost. I just wanted my best chance at quitting the smoke. Including batteries/charger/juice I think I spent 2x the cost of a carton at that time[5 yrs].

Before that post I was thinking of a pod(2) that I have, in a different way. Also draw activated, but not as technically advanced as Reflex appears to be. Something draw activated, like it or even a CoilArt Mino, could be useful to get someone at least initially used to vapor [instead of smoke] w/o the cough. ik for the Mino the amount of the vapor can be from none or very little is exhaled[no cough], and can MTL or RDL, each decided by how hard the pull is. Some have picked up a vape and stopped smoking right then. I don't think that's the norm though. Usually it's a transition. Mine was MTL from 2pks day to 1 pack the 1st week/10cigs the 2nd. I just picked up the vape 1st every time I wanted to light up, slowly increasing power/vapor as I got used to it.

@JeffersonWK welcome to VU  Maybe your dad can join too....
