I am sure I posted in the wrong section but I am sure here is where I will get the best advice. I may be looking to buy and/or sell some gear. Not just here in the VU classies but online as well. So...okay, you folks buy/sell here what payment option besides Pay Pal would you be most comfortable and likely accept? Please share your opinions and advice with me. Thanks for your time. Peace and love to you and yours.

For online the only safe option I know of is PayPal & of course don’t do Friends & Family. But with PayPal don’t mention “vape” as you probably know they have/will banned all Vape related vendors.

In Canada it's so easy. I can send money from my bank account to anyone if I have their email address, we call it an instant e-transfer, no cost and goes from my bank account to theirs. 90% of my Canadian vape purchases are completed this way too. It's a little too easy though for my late teen and early twenty yr old kids to ask for money though, lol

Wonder if that is an option here in US? I have a pre paid debit card that I use for all my financial transactions. Maybe, I will look in to it. Thank you.

Ain't THAT the truth? I use Zelle all the time, too. Have tried Venmo, but something about it and me just don't understand each other. I think Venmo may work with the Green Dot prepaid cards, but not sure. @Bigrick you might want to look at that.

Isn't Zelle BoA only? I know it was at one time. So I had a weird thing with PayPallast week. I've had my PP account for years, and connected my checking to it a year ago using the standard authentication method where they hit your account with a small charge ( < $1 ) and you then tell them what the amount was. Simple, safe, but it does take a couple days. Then last week out of nowhere, anytime I tried to send money using my checking, so there is no fee, it wouldn't let me and said they wanted to re-authorize my checking account. Why? It said we do this from time to time for your safety. Seriously? Like someone might have seized my Paypal account and this will save me? It would be the least of my troubles if someone had my PP account. But even stranger, they did not want to do the same method as when I first connected it, the actually wanted me to login into my checking account from PayPal. Seriously? Who the hell is stupid enough to do that? I'm not giving my bank login to ANYBODY. These people have lost their minds.

So I ended up attaching my debit card for that checking account just to get the money sent and of course they get $12 in fees. PP is getting kinda shady I think. And then the next day, everything is back to normal. No more, "we need to re-certify your account BS"....

ANYWAYS, there are tons of options:
- Venmo
- Google Pay (which is great because it can interface with most other services, because, you know, it's google and they control the world, with Amazon and FB of course, and they already control your mind because they know what you are going to do before you know what you are going to do)
- CashApp - if you like your CEOs the homeless looking type who feel they know better than you about everything and have no qualms censoring what people can speak and hear

If on Facebook... Facebook pay is the best if you’re not selling a ton.

It’s not meant for business but for friends actually paying friends for little things, hard limit $750 I believe.

Apple Pay... anyone with an iPhone can have it and sent to your Apple Cash card, then you can transfer to bank.

Zelle- wellsfargo

Pretty much any major bank wire transfer service via app or online.

PayPal is antiquated honestly and does very little compared to your bank when it comes to fraudulent transactions, and the time to resolve for the fee based system they use and the restrictions, just doesn’t make them at all appealing to use anymore.

More or less just wanting a service that is not in my business, that my fellow VUers will accept for purchases here. Online vape purchasing a bonus as I do maintain a Net Spend prepaid debit card. Even my SSI has been deposited on to it for 7-8 years. I have tried to make vape purchases and my card was not accepted and a PP icon pops up in its place.

So...Zelle? If I wanted to buy a $200 piece of gear from YOU would you accept it?

Sorry for my ignorance but what does BoA mean? Google says beat off artist (rude sorry), yeah slang for chronic masturbator. I know that can not be it, right?

If I were selling something on VU...I’m currently able to accept these payments.

Zelle
PayPal
Apple Pay
Facebook Pay (Messenger)
Venmo
Samsung Pay

I prefer Apple Pay... just like texting, just click the $

So many options out there, all good some better.

Venmo and green dot are owned by PayPal so be careful with them. The user agreement is the same for all of them.
