Not really but I may as well have. I figured with The vapocalypse finally upon us I would venture into a local b&m. (It seems that I have been around here 4 years so I have been preparing at least that long. LoL) There was a ton of “glass” and vape pods but no RDAs or RTAs. Mechs, fugetaboutit! The young dude running the shop looked at me as if seeing an alien Or better yet, a caveman.
You still use wire coils and cotton?? Ummm yes. You make juice AND coils. Ummm yes... LoL. I am old and now it seems that I am antiquated. I never jumped on the squonk wagon and sure as shit never puffed on a pod. I like what I like. Fat coils, big RTA, ko gen do and some fruity juice that I can taste.

Mech squonk mod, RDA, coil, cotton/rayon (depending on the mood striking me). Got two regulated squonk devices but don't really use them much. Recently got two new mech squonks, one still not even unwrapped out of its plastic or unboxed.

Something along those lines. Also got a couple Coppervape mods. a Thunderhead Creation's mod and RDA, a Wofoto semi-mechanical Luxotic with a Wasp.

The two regulated are a Vandy Vape Pulse squonk mod and a Topside Lite with an Advken Gorge on it. Also got a Vindicator tube mod with a 24 mm Kennedy RDA. Yes, sometimes I drip regularly.

My common train of thought has been the K.I.S.S. principle. It suits me. I don't push it for everyone but if you want to try it, have a hammer.

Ah, I'm currently enjoying unflavored max VG base juice. I use it to mix with flavors if/when I want flavored juice. Got some 50/50 unflavored too. I run at 18mg/ml nicotine strength.

Prefer to buy that as unflavored pre-made unflavored base. I got no inclination/space to cut down 100 mg /ml nicotine into a mixed base. I can easily find myself a formula to do it and could but just rather not.

I don't mind paying a little premium for having mixed up for my use. Rather not pay my right arm for it though. Know that may soon become the case. In which case well, guess I'll quit vaping along with smoking. Might still occasionally get a tin of snuff to rub.

Fuck the pod scene - I've been squonking since before it was popular - back when we had to modify drippers ourselves with pins scrounged from Fat Daddy and only mechs were available. Walk into a B&M 7 years ago with a squonk and they were like WTF is that?

Pods are for those who are prepared to spend too much on replacements and vape what the government says - fuck that

I remember having to do some of that. Didn't always capillary 510 pins from Fat Daddy's though. Had to look 'em at Slow Tech and places like Mad Cats.

Can recall having to "fix" a few RDA by cutting an insulator to use as a squonking RDA. Instead of a dremel believe I would use a pocket knife. I didn't hollow out the pin itself. My way functioned, ... not the best but.

My reaction to that is that you'd better get to buying what you need online and I mean right now - that is, if you can find anything left. Lots of places are damn near sold out of everything except tank glass and little spare parts to old tanks.

Most of us around here who have been financially able have been stocking up for years. I for one would not want to have to depend on a b&m to get a damn thing.

Some mechanical box and tube mods are a good idea because most of them will last virtually forever if you take good care of them.

All of this is presuming, of course, that you aren't ready to quit vaping....
